Welcome to government funding.

School District: we need a new school

Enrollment: 4200

Government: Awesome, here's $4.2 million, go build the 4200 student school.

SD: Uhh, won't that take a few years? Should we add some buffer space to the plan?

Government: ehh, naah

Spongebob 3 years later: Welcome to Springfield High School!

Enrollment: 6900

Springfield: see, gooberment, we needed more classrooms!

Gooberment: heh, would you look at that. Lol. Well, use your budget to build some portables.

SD: Us? Why don't you pay!?!?

Gooberment: Oh, haha, yeah, that's an operating expense. We only fund capital projects! Don't worry, give us a plan to expand and we can fund you in 10 years

10 years later: Ok gooberment, our numbers say we need 15 classrooms. But for the expansion, we should do 25 for future proofing

Gooberment: Oh, but you only need 15 now? Yeah here's money for 15

2 years later: Here's 15 classrooms!

SD: We need 25...

Gooberment: Oh, yeah, get some portables and talk to us in a few years!

Rinse and repeat

TIL grudgingly is a word. I've only ever heard begrudgingly before.

Apparently grudgingly is done with lack of interest

Begrudgingly is done with envy

Don't forget to file for unemployment. If you were hired as remote, going to the office means a major change in your job. If anything it will make your scumbag company do extra work.

Dude! You can make tendies and fries in 15 minutes!!!!

REAR

FINGERPRINT

SENSOR

I'm still on the 5 for that feature.

Why they got rid of it, nobody knows...

Reddit refugee. After Spez spazzed out, and I couldn't use Sync anymore, I was gone.

As for this second? Same reason everyone is here. On a break looking at a phone.

EDIT

Also, my first post! Also, fuck /u/spez

ET-2800, By HP

Uhh, you sure that's an HP? Do you have the wrong model?

The ET series are EcoTanks by Epson, (Shaq's Printer) HP almost always uses 4 numbers and sometimes a letter at the end for models. Or Mxxx for Laser

Don't get me wrong, HP = Horse Piss, but the shade should be thrown at who deserves it.

It's more than the Uvalde cops did at least

I use Lemmy Sync

I only browse Reddit at work with uBlock, but will never contribute again

Do you think they have open internet? Gmail?

Looked it up, nope, some shitty pay per message bullsit system.

Pretty standard for Android phones. I don't know of many that go to 3 versions besides the Pixel.

As much as I dislike Apple, I do have to give it to them for software support. The oldest phone that has the current iOS is the iPhone 8, a phone from 2017. 6 years of updates. That makes it as old as a Pixel 2, and that only goes to Android 11, from 2020.

They forgot the best part. That model uses CO2 (it's in the name), instead of older HFC (or very ancient CFC) based refrigerants.

How do you think I sent this message? :)

Credit card chargeback. The services you paid for were not rendered.

I'm sorry, you lost me at PowerPoint. You hit F5? Have you checked your screen resolution?

Is it really appropriate for parents to snoop on everything their child does?

When did I say they need to be a helicopter parent? I am simply saying kids in the 90s had parents who did not grow up with this computer thing, and were not aware of what they could be doing. So kids could do whatever. This person obviously had this type of parent.

These days, if you're not at least taking an interest in what websites and communities they are participating in, you are not parenting.

That argument is getting weaker every year. Let's assume that the parents were 18 when they had her, that means the parents were born in 1985. That makes them millennials, who probably had the internet from at least 5 years old. So they aren't some ignorant boomers who have no idea what the internet is, and they can take steps to moderate the experience.
