Pacman ofc

exactly. They use c and C (uppercase) alternatively, making it look like pacman is eating. hence the beautiful, charming, and cute progress indicator

btw dont think im crazy but ive set max parallel downloads to 200 and when i do a system update, damn that looks so good.

Yeah, I have bash ls installed, but it wont teach me coding standards right

His professor ig

Yeah i remember now. I have to format the partitions to complete partitioning. Thanks for info

Thanks. I checked it out. It'd be cool if they have LSP setup.

And thanks for informing about the link, I made a typo :]

So what should i do.

  1. Boot into arch iso
  2. Mount my disk and copy files
  3. And install arch

But i wonder if the mounting part will work. Coz of the mess ive made. I just have to try it ig.

I dunno, I don't wanna take part in any survey, it feels wrong to me. But filled it halfway, just to see my own thoughts on linux. BTW you shouldve added " for fun" as a option to the question "why'd you use linux", thats the first thing that came to my mind

Noice!

Is it possible to download just the word processor (libreoffice's) and nothing else?

Wtf. Tell me its a joke

I just cannot conclude if this is a joke or not. ive seen people use emacs as their primary os. So a tetris game can be in there ig.

I see. In a greater scope it potentially hides a healthy discussion and thats unhealthy. I agree. Sorry ihad it so narrow. I didnt know that.

Im not playing this feels like its a great realization for my life too thank you for this

Yeah I came across that google's guide, but I skipped it when I found out its from google. And thanks for informing about the link, I made a typo

Haaa! It feels good to hear. I hope that theyll support free software financially.

Yo! Thanks a lot. It works.

I tried "colemak-dh" instead of "colemak_dh", thats why it didnt work. My monkey brain didnt think of using underscore.

I wanna set it up on login shell too. So i tried

localectl set-keymap colemak_dh

But it says Failed to set keymap: Keymap colemak_dh is not installed.

I tried

[tomri@arch ~]$ localectl list-keymaps | grep colemak
colemak
[tomri@arch ~]$

Thanks in advance

cp *.iso /dev/disk

or

pv *.iso > /dev/disk

Thanks

Yeah, I used to use that before. But its slower for me. So now I use fish for interactions

Not what Im asking for, but this is awesome!

I dont think doing back up is possible. Coz i shrinked a 100g partition into 32g which had 84g of data. Is it possible?

Yeah, it worked.

What do you mean by "make it usable"?

Totally understandable. 👍

bruh fixing these issues makes us feel superior

tell me if this is what I'm looking for. I build Lineage OS, which requires me to download a load of apps. I wish (analogy coming) I could manage everything like a npm project, where I can keep all the dependencies under a single dir. I want to use my package manager to handle the dependencies, rather than manually downloading the bins, mv-ing them to the dir, and setting the path. Once I've finished building, dispose everything with just one or two commands, leaving no footprint on my OS/machine.

Thanks.

sorry for late reply. yeah, my /bin got messed up somehow, thats why it couldnt find the essentials, more likely bash

sorry for late reply. i fixed it but i wanna know this option. i tried hitting space bar, but nothing showed up

sorry for late reply. thanks to you, i fixed it

😂

nothing can go wrong as long as you have a live usb ig

sorry for that

I sincerely appreciate your consideration to help and explain

Its funny that i tried resize partitions without knowing how to do that. I thought i should format new partitions after editing partition table coz thats what i did when installing linux, but im wrong again ig.
