I only go back to Resdit when my Google search doesn't take me where I need to go.

What did they do, I'm out of the loop?

Madeline is transgender, so the artists may be trying to show she's transitioning. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madeline_(Celeste)

Money!

And you see, I've become the opposite. I used to dislike really spicy food, now I can't get enough of it. The hotter the better. Normal food doesn't scratch that itch anymore, I need pain.

I'm sorry about your allergy to it. My wife can't handle spicy foods at all. Raw jalapenos give her an allergic reaction, so she can't even have pico de gallo. She also has lots of allergies.

Does that apply to Proud Boys? Let's unmask these filthy vermin.

I stopped chewing my fingernails. What a disgusting habit. Glad to be free of it.

Your Name, a beautiful anime movie. I was legit floored the whole way through. I'd watch that with new eyes in a heartbeat.

Gaza won't exist in 2 years even with sanctions.

Bible history is fascinating. Michael from Inspiring Philosophy on YouTube broke it all down from the original texts (as old as possible) to the King James Version. https://youtu.be/fnlp3--RG3c?si=T01T4emDeT6i6s4-

It looks so much like the Asus ROG Ally, I wonder if Asus could sue for infringement. I love my Ally, but 32 gb of RAM sounds nice. Not sure if Intel is the best chip choice, but only benchmarks will tell.

I got the Ally to play Destiny 2, and it works perfectly. I play almost daily at lunch time in my car. I love it so much. Can't do that on a Steamdeck. Granted, the Steamdeck is a marvel, but I really needed a Windows machine.

That happens when I get sick.

Lol, fools them, I played Aperture Desk Job on my Asus ROG Ally.

Looks like Joanna from Rescuers: Down Under.

On my Pixel 7 Pro, I press the power and volume up buttons simultaneously, then I can click Lockdown. Now my passcode is required to unlock the phone.

What about her?

Oh, I understand, thanks for explaining. Yeah, the inability to play the Red War saga is sad. I dropped off kind of soon after the Red War. If there weren't YouTubers with lore videos, I'd be really lost now.

So, unlike a TV show, you can't go back and enjoy it from episode 1, you just have to strap in and hope you can hold on while they fling content at you to see if something sticks. Like what they're doing with the new Crucible mode, Checkmate, they're going to use it to change all of Crucible.

Streets of Rage 4 was very good, but I would like to see where they take it from here. A 3d game wouldn't be bad, as long as it's still side scrolling. I loved JSRF on Xbox and would love a new Jet Set game. This is all good news! Yeah it's pure nostalgia, but if the games are actually good why not support Sega?

I got an RC car... At least I'll die having fun.

I'm American and always use 30 Dec 2023 as my date scheme. It makes much more sense. I also work in a multicultural laboratory, so there should be no question as to what date it is, but some of my colleagues still use mm-dd-yy.

I loved 2020 and Red, played a bit of both. Good luck finding a group!

I got back into the game in Season 21 and played all the campaigns then. I enjoyed all of them. Shadowkeep was very cool, I felt bad for Eris. Witch Queen was fun, I found the story gripping. Lightfall was kinda meh, but Strand is so powerful. Every campaign doesn't need to be amazing much like every season of a TV show need to be amazing, but I'll still watch Futurama and Bones and The Office over and over.

The only campaign I haven't played again is Beyond Light, which I mostly finished back when it came out.

I think the part I disliked the most of all the campaigns was getting Strand meditations for my Banner of War Titan. But the levels were fun to play even if the story wasn't great.

We're spending $15 every few months. That costs way less than a full season of a TV show or even a single movie, especially in the theater, and we play Destiny for many more hours than watch a TV season or movie.

Lol, I saw your profile pic while pooping at a Buc-ee's

To be fair the chip bags were really loud...

It has competitive modes, but I don't know how well it would do at tournament play. I'm not a big fan of PVP, but I'm pretty sure the Ally is powerful enough to play most of those games if you lower the graphics to get a nice FPS. I just cited Destiny because it's what I've been playing lately.

Wow, there's a lot of hate for D2... I played Destiny 1 almost daily, and enjoyed Destiny 2's launch. I fell off for a while, played a little Beyond Light, but didn't get any of the other expansions. I got back into the game during Season 21, Season of the Deep, and thoroughly enjoyed the content. I played the old campaigns (got them on sale for 75% off), then enjoyed Season of the Witch. Now, Season of the Wish just came out yesterday and I enjoyed the 30 minutes I had to play the game (busy day). Yeah, I pay for some things, story content mostly. The game play is really good, the story is fine, and we're coming up to the end of this huge 10-year saga between the light and darkness, the Traveler and the Witness. The Final Shape (next campaign) has been delayed, but Bungie is putting extra content into this season to make up for the extra long season we'll have, and it'll be free for everyone, not just people who bought the season. Everything has been building up to this point, and I'm so excited to see where it goes from here.

Sure, other games do a seasonal model better, other games have better writing or mechanics or less monetization. But I'm still having fun. Not everyone hates Destiny, even if Bungie has made some bad decisions in the past and lately.

I play Destiny 2 on my Asus ROG Ally almost daily, and have played lots of PVE and Gambit, but hate Crucible. It's really powerful, so I think it's possible to play competitive games on a handheld if you're comfortable with using a controller. Of course, you can plug it into a monitor and use the XG Mobile to get a decent graphics card. So yeah, I think a handheld can hold up to a gaming PC if you temper your expectations. You're not going to be playing at 4k, 120 fps, but instead 720p 50-60 fps. Good enough for casual play all the time.
