Who could have guessed??? Anyway it's important to think about the economy now, but only short term of course! /s

My gf likes to click on ad entries of Google searches - that doesn't work

They are not sold anymore, but whatever is left and working can still be used. Many people also bought a ton of incandescents before the selling stopped (tHe lIgHt is sO mUcH bEtTeR!!!)

Wat nou?

if only they’d pay the musicians worth a shit<

afaik that's mainly the fault of the music labels, they charge quite good money, but they don't give it to the artists: https://blog.groover.co/en/tips/loud-clear-spotify-2/

Next stop: Pregnancy. Exit here for sleepness nights, a new member of the family and kind of a lot of responsibility. Mind the gap between exit and birth!

You can just piss on your phone for easier comparison. You're welcome

Your old stuff is most likely in x264 video codec, while, especially at the higher resolutions, x265 / HEVC and in rare cases AV1 are the standard today. But it also depends on the specific release how many streams (like audio tracks, subtitles) are included

That's the good thing about containers, that's super easy. Just stop the container, move your folder to your desired location (e.g. /home/user/vaultwarden), change the path in your compose file (stack) (i.e.: /home/user/vaultwarden:/data/), redeploy the stack and that's it :)

Since you already got a lot of ELI5s, here is a basic to-do to get you up and running. From my experience, since I use the exact same setup as you describe.

  1. Set up your containers in a way you can reach them from you local network (e.g. http://123.456.789.10:123)
  2. Get a domain name (you can get one at the registrar of your choice, e.g. mydomain.com)
  3. Set up NGINX proxy manager (NPM) (default address of webui would be http://123.456.789.10:81)
  4. Set up a new proxy host in NPM:
    • Domain name: mycontainer.mydomain.com
    • Scheme: http
    • Forward Hostname/IP: 123.456.789.10 (if you get an error later on, you can use the docker container name if NPM and your container are connected to the same Docker network)
    • Port: 123
    • Via access lists you can provide a very basic username/pw login to protect your sites (you can do more and cooler stuff with Authelia)
    • In the SSL tab you can (and should) setup the SSL encryption: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBGOJA27m_0
  5. Go to the DNS management of your registrar
    • Add an A-record for mydomain.com and the public IP of your server (you can google public IP to find it out)
    • Add a CNAME record for the subdomain with name mycontainer and target mydomain.com
  6. open port 443 of your server in your router If everything worked right, you can visit mycontainer.mydomain.com, your DNS server will resolve this to your public IP and forwards the request to nginx, which will serve the data of your local container

They have to find someone else to do their job now

It's in the zoomed in circle in top left corner (it's the cringy 😂)

No, bluray is 1080p (or 2160p if UHD Bluray) while DVDs are 576p-720p (what looks really shitty on a 4K TV). I only buy BDs and UHD BDs these days

Unfortunately the court wasn't that strict in it's most recent decision regarding data retention (different lead judge combined with the endless tries from the politics)

That's just me, chillin with my skinned capybara. One leg fell off, any idea how to reattach btw?

I can tell you from my own experience, you don't do the child a favor by sticking to a broken relationship, I wished my parents have broken up earlier instead of pretending everything is good and that's how a normal relationship should be. It took me years and I sometimes still struggle today to draw a line and go into a conflict with my partner to figure things out instead of avoiding the conflict

Always surprising for how less money these "patriots" are always willing to sell their country to dictators. Sure 20k is money, but it is at max 3 of his monthly paychecks as a member of the Bundestag.

Uhm yes? You bought it, it's yours. You made the decision to buy something that contains plastic or is wrapped in it or whatever, that's where the responsibility went to you.

Where I live, pedestrians have the right of way at crosswalks (fun fact: when this was introduced somewhere in the 70s, car drivers have been angry about it)

That's kind of okay, isn't it? Sure not every woman is a sheet-steeler, but woman tend to be more cold than man and steeling the sheet when cold is more of an instict and less of an 'I hate my wife' vibe

You can turn off the internet access at almost all Tuya devices by making use of the local tuya HACS add on in home assistant. Maybe that's helpful for your research

a typical (full subtitle) .srt file for a movie is like 100-200 kb - still not much, but 5 is a little off

It's a little embarrassing, but I think it's Scary Movie (all of them, but especially the first one)

I know and I tell her that, too - it's just something to consider when calculating the wife approval factor

There is not not enough parking, there are too many cars

Who should clean cities and subways from dropped food then? Rats?

I'd love that becoming a thing. TV OSs are always so shitty, I bet dedicated open source work would do wonders

Looks like someone wearing a costume to disguise as a bacteria :D

The best patriots are those, that are willing to sell their country to China/Russia! Heck yeah, love it! (Fucking dumbasses)

Well you can discuss everything here - as long as you stay civil. There are not even worthless internet points to lose. But from what I've read from your comments here, you will face different opinions and you may should thinking about them and your own, too

Not a single sidewalk is built to last the weight of a car. They are build as cheap as possible (sand bed + stones), because they are not supposed to get exposed to heavy loads. That's why they are often in bad conditions, they usually don't even have tree root protection, so they get regularly misformed from below and above

I really like Jellyseer for this. Occasionally browsing around with different filters, auto add to the arr services (which I only use for keeping track of what's currently in the cinema and what is released on streaming/bluray)

renderD128 (Intel dgpu) couldn't be added to the container (linuxserver image). Will take a look later, when I'm home, to find the issue. But may take your time for the update and don't yolo it like I did :)

And that's the job of the government, imo. Regulate the shit out of the free market, force the manufacturers to not use the worst things possible

Does the backside of a traffic light even count? What about these strange traffic lights that have more boarder than light?

I'd go for the consumer case with as much drive space as possible, but in the end it's up to your taste. With rackmount full professional server stuff, you have to keep in mind, it's not only quite large in terms of space, but also noisy. This is something for the basement or something. Another option would be a mini pc like a NUC combined with a NAS - here is the limit the upgradability of the hardware. Like you can usually upgrade the RAM a little and the system drive, but that's it. Especially for media stuff (Plex, Emby, Jellyfin) it can be interesting to have a dedicated GPU, like an Intel card, to have more transcoding capabilities. I'm currently running most things from a SFF PC, but also have a Pi and an old laptop in use for various tasks (main reason is lazyness to move the services to the SFF lol)

But still very confident about it!
