Every update or service pack, it starts all over. There's no such thing as a clean windows install.

I've been running Nobara for about a month now and really like it. It's a gaming focused distro put together by Glorious Eggroll, and it's set up to make Linux desktop gaming as easy as possible. A few of my more demanding games drop a few frames, but for the most part things run just as well or better in Linux.
It's worth a shot.

Nvidia drivers actually come pre-baked with the installer. When you download the iso, just make sure you get the Nvidia one. It'll install the most recent drivers for you as part of the install.

Nvidia just requires a driver install on most distros, and the newer drivers for Linux run rather well. All but one of my games runs better on Linux than on Windows (MK1 has slowdown issues on cinematics)
