Is capitalism dying or will it just get more and more ruthless until like 10 people have 99.999% of the wealth? Is there a difference? Either way it seems like humanity will have to make a choice soon whether we want to keep propping up a system that has fundamentally failed them.

Multiply 9 times any number and it always "reduces" back down to 9 (add up the individual numbers in the result)

For example: 9 x 872 = 7848, so you take 7848 and split it into 7 + 8 + 4 + 8 = 27, then do it again 2 + 7 = 9 and we're back to 9

It can be a huge number and it still works:

9 x 987345734 = 8886111606

8+8+8+6+1+1+1+6+0+6 = 45

4+5 = 9

Also here's a cool video about some more mind blowing math facts

Sometimes I like to imagine what a library from a highly advanced race who have transcended the base concepts of copyright and currency in general would be like. If every person in the civilization could absorb any form of media ever made as well as knowledge formerly sequestered away behind paywalls or otherwise suppressed, just imagine what heights such a society could reach.

A complete collection of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, including the first few years that nobody thought to record. The LLS Archive channel on YouTube is the most comprehensive source available but there's still huge gaps of missing episodes. Rumor has it there's one guy out there who recorded every episode on VHS but is refusing to digitize them.

I have a chance to see Randy Feltface live in December but may have to go by myself since my one standup buddy said he "can't do puppets" lol. I mean I get the puppet hate but this isn't like Jeff Dunham, Randy is actually legitimately funny to the point that you kinda forget you're looking at a puppet.

also agreed on Mitch, RIP.

Craig Ferguson is probably my number one though. His specials aren't even that great but the three times I've seen him live have been hysterical, and his Late Late Show was legendary imo, such a quick witted mind for improv.

Not the best but Tubi has a few stand up specials. It technically is possible to download videos from Tubi using a site called Keepvid but it’s kinda jank and doesn’t always work right

almost exclusively electronic music, just can't seem to get enough of it. (ambient, downtempo, drum & bass, dub, electro, glitch, goa trance, house, idm, psybass, psychill, psytrance, synthwave, techno). I'd be happy to try to give recommendations of any of these if you ask.

also love funk like Parliament/Funkadelic and some electronic focused jambands like STS9 & Lotus

Is there even an objective truth though? I’d say there technically is, but I think we all have our own subjective versions of what our “truth” is that rise and fall like a sine wave around the straight line of objective Truth.

Just remember that what is popular is not always true, and what is true is not always popular.

I try to see as much live music as possible (within the genres that I at least somewhat like). There's something about being just another face in the crowd dancing to the music that makes me feel like I'm a part of something greater than myself. Everyone there at least has the common ground of liking the music regardless of their political stance, sexual preference, etc.

Decentralized localization of every possible energy generation system (renewables but if we're dreaming here then the supposedly suppressed Zero Point / radiant / overunity energy systems). Post scarcity abundance levels of all essential items, but mainly food, again through the localized means of production with vertical farm towers if space is a constraint. Free travel to anywhere on the planet and beyond using suppressed anti gravity electrogravitic technology (you said I could dream). Free access to every form of media ever made and knowledge formerly sequestered behind paywalls or otherwise suppressed, and a free and open forum to discuss these things.

But most importantly a new way of thinking that is cooperation based instead of competition based, and a new economic system that renders the profit motive obsolete and money itself much less of a controlling factor in peoples lives (such as a resource based economy like The Venus Project)

Just did Long's this past week for the 2nd time, my wife had to get revenge on this mountain after getting psyched out on the trough 13 years ago. absolute pain in the ass of a mountain but a beautiful experience at the same time.. we call it "type 2 fun", meaning you might not enjoy it while you're doing it but you're glad you did it once it's over.

under capitalism or an alternative?

Thanks for this list, gonna check these out. I am mostly into old school goa trance the likes of Hallucinogen, Doof, Astral Projection, Darshan, Green Nuns of the Revolution, Blue Planet Corporation, etc.

So it sounds like I’ll like the Medicine Drum EP since goa seems to have a more organic sound than the more “digital” sound of more modern psytrance.

Actual psychopaths have brains that are wired differently than normal people, they are literally not capable of feeling empathy or are able to feel the pain they caused that allowed them to amass their fortune. So yeah in a way I think that makes them less than human.

handy site for finding the lowest price per TB HDD/SSD

I prefer my ambient to have a psychedelic aspect to it instead of just pure drone, so probably my favorite ambient artist is Ishq, namely his albums Orchid, Sama, And Awake, Bloom, and Lotus. Sinepearl and Chandanam are also artists that have a similar sound to Ishq. also check out Woob's Repurpose album

getting into more of the psybient/psychill genre than pure ambient, mostly everything on Ultimae Records is gold imo (Solar Fields, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Cell, H.U.V.A. Network, Sync24, etc.)

love my RG353M, can't really see how the form factor for a pocketable horizontal device could be improved beyond it, besides a more powerful chip of course.

anything you recommend? looking for more artists like those on Naked Music Recordings (Blue Six, Miguel Migs, Lisa Shaw, Aya, etc.)

Sorry yall downvote away but I gotta bring up covid in this context. oh yeah sure, after decades of not giving two shits about us suddenly the government is concerned for our health and safety? No one else found that to be immediately sus as hell?

I want to believe that freedom of speech is important, and that outright censorship of any view contrary to the mainstream view is not the way forward. But if you look at a place like Voat was (which prided itself on being truly free speech), my god what a shit hole of racists and homophobes that site turned into. So there has to be some degree of guidance.

BUT there also still has to be a way for people to critique their government, or else we end up with the thought police of Orwell's 1984.

not really a single game but probably accumulated the most hours playing Super Mario World kaizo romhacks

single game would probably be Battlefield 4 though

got any electro recommendations? I love MetaComplex, Morphology, Microlith, Plant43, E.R.P., Shinra, Reedale Rise, etc.

well living in clown world doesn't help, seeing as how we're at least a hundred years behind where we should be if history didn't go the way it did. if anyone's to blame it's JP Morgan after he shut down Tesla's funding way back then.

Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
