Translation: I fucked up and want to beat the employees for my failure

Brian Calley (SBAM CEO And Former Republican Lt. Gov of Michigan)

Why is it that only this site is the only one bringing it up that the head of the so called Small Business Association was is a big shot state Republican that was voted out

Also, if people can't afford homes and have less job security, you can see why there is a difference

Apparently increasing social spending and work flexibility is great for American Families. Who knew?

People keep saying culture but living through the recession as a Millennial

Most of us are suffering and lonely because we’re poor, and everyone else wants to ignore it

This is soooooo bloody pointless

Does the right understand if weather becomes more volatile, swinging from extreme heat to cold, it would mean cars will breakdown, pipes will need to be replaced faster and faster, house insurance will keep on skyrocketing, electric bills will become more expensive, etc etc

Actions do speak louder that words

It doesn’t help that most “pro family” research groups are right wing lunatics telling our leaders that it’s not their fault that people aren’t having kids

Common Ground have thoughts on that

"The veto of #AB309 – revenue neutral cost rental social housing on public land which could be built starting next year – while we only commit to study the issue for another 2-3 years is an insult to the millions of housing cost-burdened residents of California."

Neat, the article and the study even talks about it

The study calls for a reevaluation of the breadwinner ideology, highlighting the need to understand and support American men’s diverse and often precarious employment experiences.

Hell, the article's conclusion is about economic instability being a bad thing? >

California should really learn from Midwestern Dems who is pushing fro 15 weeks of paid leave

Wait, didn't the photo say "Lightning Over China and Taiwan"

Korea more so than Japan, and Japan still have some affordable housing and a stronger demand for young labor

Very creepy

SB-799 give Strikers the right to receive unemployment

Have you even read the article

More evidence is popping up that increased social spending and flexible work arrangements, including remote work, can positively impact fertility rates, as shown in California. Yet, influential figures in California like Elon Musk and other Silicon Valley "pronatalists", are against these measures and more. Their opposition to remote work, work flexibility, and social spending, coupled with efforts to hamper new infrastructure projects and drive up housing costs. They will not make it easy to do what's needed.

  1. Apparently someone who hates Musk and loves working from home considering the article

  2. I don't know, apparently this is the author's contact info. Ask him https://www.stoppopulationdecline.org/author/david/

  3. Depends on what's causing decline. If its people not wanting kids then it's a good thing, it it's people not able to have the kids they want because Capitalism is squeezing them dry or assholes like Musk is reducing work flexibility then it's a bad thing

I mean, give the GOP time and no one can afford a family

James Brainard, the current mayor, is probably going to vote Democrat this time around, because Moms of Liberty are 100% against all of this policies despite him being a republican

Elon Musk, while destroying Twitter, is still a massive advocate of abusing employees (https://gizmodo.com/twitter-elon-musk-silicon-valley-tech-layoffs-1850470520) and very much against the strikes (https://finance.yahoo.com/news/elon-musk-says-auto-union-201310505.html)

You won Lemmy!

Super Salty

I've seen the site attack the Tories and Austerity so it couldn't be that bad. As long it's keeping to promoting social spending, and nothing else, it's fine

Amen

Roman Empire was pro choice

You are thinking of Medieval Europe

It's nice seeing Elon being called out on his anti worker shit, considering the lack of blowback on this

Let's wait and see

THANK YOU!

YOU KNOW HOW FRUSTRATING IT IS WHEN PEOPLE KEEP TOSSING THAT PHRASE AROUND

Local governments actually providing services that aren't hurting folks?

It's almost like everything the GOP stands for is anti family

You mean a decease in Profit Margins

There profits will increase because more people have more money to spend and time to spend that money

You really didn’t read the article

points out that African American women had it harder during the COVID crisis, the brunt of the crisis's financial and health impacts, and we need serious policies to address.

Dude,

Then conservatives should stop crying about population decline or how people aren’t having kids

Stupid Sulla is a more accurate comparison

Sulla started a civil war with his militrary leaders being against it and strip any and all power from the plebians

AI ruins everything

You are absolutely correct

A major problem my friends who work for gov is that Biden been trying to push RTO, even as his own agency heads work from home, so I must have missed the poison pill when I read this article

Japan vs Taiwan France vs Poland Czech vs Hungary

There are so many exceptions to that rule it's crazy
