The hit piece Nilay did on Elon was fucking savage and one of the best things I've ever read on that site

Not on Kbin (hi from sh.itjustworks) but I love to see it popping off. I just hope they're ready because if it's like this now, after the 30th is gonna be nuts

Actress Margot Robbie, where do you find the time to come up with these clever ideas during your busy life as a Major American Celebrity? I'm in awe

Passive aggressively dismissive of standard relationships

Whose standard?

I'm one of 'em, it's been great so far!

Human psychology doesn't have a standard.

Monogamy is just one of a wide range of social arrangements that have existed all throughout human history, and continue to exist.

see: distribution of monogamy

Personally, I've been in multiple partner relationships. Are they perfect? No, absolutely not. But neither were some of the monogamous relationships I've been in.

I think the comic is a little off too, and I agree with you about how it portrays cheating, but it doesn't make sense to shit on all forms of relationship that you don't agree with.

Shit, let's go back to digg, why not? Is it still there?

Oh shit, nevermind, here is good!

It really does feel like a shift. Of course it doesn't have to be anything near as big as Reddit and that's alright. This can be its own thing, which I'm pretty happy to be a part of.

Definitely know what you mean on the old school vibes though, I wonder if part of it is because "reddiquite" feels so unnecessary here, you don't have to post in fear of a slew of downvotes.

Yeah! I'm all here for that. Feels good to be a part of something like this

Definitely not a cop tattoo

I feel like even though this is all pretty chaotic in the short term, it feels like it could be a pretty good learning experience for the strengths and weaknesses of federating in general

Is this... a pun?

If you're a graphic designer or something similar, the gaps can always be filled with "freelance designer"

It's a difficult thing to measure, since it won't necessarily be a leap from just one platform to another.

I saw a meme on Tumblr about redditors remembering they had "dual Tumblr citizenship" all along. A lot of people are exploring a bunch of different options simultaneously (me included) and that's pretty great.

But yeah, we'll figure it out I hope!

This is off topic, but I love that I'm already finding links to concepts I didn't know about. It's a good sign that using the fediverse as an alternative to Reddit will actually work!

They don't hate them at all! They just steal their ideas
