Google Reader shutdown has completely changed the way I was ingesting information. It was so convenient, I always had 2-3 days worth of articles, web comics and news for reading.
Another problem was that many sites shifted to providing only parts of articles instead of full versions, and it was still the time when I wasn't always online to finish reading.

I do that all the time. A thing is a thing, and it can be your thing now. I only try to ask myself two things:

  1. Do I really need that?
  2. Is it in a good condition? I have a lot of used stuff at home, so if I took something half-broken, it would look like a dumpster already.

Sidenote: I live in Denmark, where people overconsume, and then get rid of stuff which is still in good condition.

"Fools bridge" from Saint-Petersburg saying hi!
It's just below the height of the most popular small truck, Gazelle - despite the poster saying: "It's low, Gazelle doesn't fit" (in addition to a normal sign), drivers keep checking that.

39 here, same shit. I'll roll right into the "how do you do, fellow kids" meme

Could be a "You can't let John down now, we're old pals, and a few people expect the site to work by the end of the week. He just needs a site like Facebook, but for gardeners"

We're maintaining and developing OpenVMS OS, and both we and our customers need Cobol, Fortran, and other half-dead languages coders.
Many large companies maintain their old systems and use them for production or data processing purposes. Sometimes it's too expensive to migrate off, but im many cases "it just works"

You just save the first 50 digits typed after some email is typed, and you have all the passwords you need!

The Russians. I'm against war, not living in Russia, working and paying taxes elsewhere. It was hard to make peace with myself, as you have to rip the vision of your country into two pieces - the first is the culture, places where you lived, your friends. The second is an insane killing machine called "the state". Have to learn not to associate yourself with that second half.
The support from many people, from here and from other countries, including a couple of Ukrainian friends (takes time to prove that you're "normal"), really helped.
Sorry for everything, I hope the old man will die soon.

Can confirm. The longest train I ever rode was a 44h long train. The first 12-24 hours push on your nerves: you've listened to music, read a book, eaten, slept, and haven't much left to do. But slowly you come to understanding:"you don't HAVE to do something". This is when the therapy starts.

Looking at the picture, I think Forbes has no idea, what a solar thermal power plant is.

You should have mentioned Oreo, so the bot would write: "Oh, we love it!.."

Oh, come on, I live in Copenhagen and cycle daily, but even there, cars are not going anywhere. Smelly-smokey cars, yes, but not cars in general.

Fell good

Better call Saul - a beautiful drama with a hint of comedy and action. Better than Breaking bad and doesn't require much knowledge of it.

She wanted to be popular, and men are to blame, ok. Is it about me as well? I identify myself as a man.

Oh, please don't involve Europe. The US is an ultimate "can't do or say things" place right now.
I mean, there are countries where people don't have any rights, but US is a country with major problems, bust still somehow considering itself "a free country"

Disco Elysium

A well-rounded list with some great time-sinkers in it!

I could say I'm more pro-Israel, as the fight is with Hamas, not the people of Palestine (Israeli army are really trigger-happy, and they kill civilians without a reason though). But you're painting Gaza sector as Costa del Sol: beaches, dollars, cocktails. Are you alright?

So, "A Porche with no brakes" is good, right?

Yeah, automakers pose a threat to automakers!

Aliexpress. I make sure to order stuff tgat was sold 100, 1000, 10000 times and has a good rating and some pictures in reviews. This is just to make sure I won't order at some place that will cancel my order after 2 weeks. But I never had any serious problems. And a couple of times when I received broken stuff, I received partial or full refunds. I ordered several thousand items from Ali over the years.

I really wanted to write something (I was also born in about-to-fall-apart USSR), but it's hard to choose what to start from. We're looking a øt a book-sized amount of content here.
I'm up for AMA format though

You know of the existence of dishwashers, right?

Swiss guys, sitting on piles of cash and cocaine: "man, I don't get it: everyone has cocaine, lambos and other stuff, what the fuss is about? Let's just legalize all the shit, everyone has it anyway!"

Yeah, some Yung Fucky Dee rapper can flip birds all day, catering to his fans, but he won't expect that Disney will offer him a collab project. There's a completely different level of requirements for being a successful major social network owner/ceo

If you're in a situation where you need to outspeed a truck to not die, you have tp consider your life choices. I can't even imagine a situation that could lead to it, if we don't count "I just randomly started to cross a busy road" ones.

Edit: you failed at shitposting, the post is useful and entertaining

Oh, sure, I'm not arguing with that. I only meant they didn't read the word "thermal", which means that's entirely different from photovoltaic technology.

"Gentle horn" sounds like a 80s romantic pop song.

Yes, it's just long people usually have long arms.

Is it normal to close an article when given two options: consent to sharing your data with 99999 companies or "choose options" and manually disable 999 subsets of said companies?
I did that once just bein curious of when the list ends, but I'm not repeating that

Oh, if we speak about "boot every day", than Windows is notorious for changing peoples updates settings and then downloading broken updates. Linux (unless you set it up otherwise) won't do shit if you won't update anything over 10 years, everything will stay the same.

I was thinking that I could as well live in Germany, until this moment. Seriously.

Anyway, if you don't understand and you're not insane or have an intention to sue because of some bullshit, you would just ask.

Uhh, you shouldn't use "we" and try to be a voice of the majority of the "adults" group.
I don't know your situation, but the majority is out there, outside your apartments, socializing.
