I was banned from Reddit for saying I enjoyed the parts of red dead redemption 2 where you had to kill slave owners and kkk members. Literally said I enjoyed a mainstream video game and the main quest. Inciting violence against polygons in an imaginary world that took place 150 years ago.

Imagine saying you enjoyed playing Wolfenstein.

14 year account. RIP.

I think deleting the sub is the right call simply because it’s trying to replace a community that did enough in the past to deserve a ban on any platform.

Tired of all the calls for defederation though.

Hopefully neither, and they’ll arrest the organizers/pimps/etc.

sex workers and clients should be the lowest priority.

Seems a bit much. Get moderators.

There’s always more poor counties to exploit. There’s only so many rich ones to sell to.

Defederation isn’t about punishing them. It’s about keeping their garbage off this platform, and keeping it separate.

Also need more top sorts:

Reddit has become yahoo answers to me. Not a place I browse

This doesn’t sound like a civil war. This sounds like a shake up at most.

Actually the first thing I thought of. Played the fuck out of that game, but kinda always hated it while playing it. Can’t explain why. Was a weird time.

My company got rid of their main office and we are never going back to full in-office. And it’s one of the reasons I’m not looking at offers from other companies. I’m happy, and my team is happy.

Well… not enough to stop it. Both are the most popular in their respective primaries. By far. It’s it even close.

Their valuation get downgraded one more time and he loses his free pre check membership.

The fear is they only show up for trump. And will when the time comes. I think that fear is valid. Low engagement voters either don’t mind trump, or they love trump, and they will show up in much greater numbers in the general.

You don’t need 10k comments and 10k upvotes for content to be good and engaging.

You only want the surface dry.

First step is testing safety. Then you give it to a much larger group to establish the level of effectiveness, since you need a lot of data to establish that. After the effectiveness is established you would declare it safe AND effective.

SMH. Can’t imagine how that’s not obvious.

Ya. I learned about those in public school.

Ya but she doesn’t work for meta. She’s trolling.

Ok but which one is the least evil? I’m gonna throw out Costco.

There’s a video of him talking to the general a few hours ago, after he took over the city. And it seems they all acknowledge the bus as real.

Well that just makes good sense.

Putin is bad at chess.

Take a walk

Or

Go sit in my backyard alone.

Apps that are shutting down should have a screen linking to alternatives. That would be huge.

Courts are slow. Prison time is slower.

They were known for exterminating socialists. They outlawed socialism. And the first camps that they were famous(eg Dacua) for were originally made to deal with socialists.

Shortly after the Nazi rise to power and the Reichstag Fire, they arrested thousands of their opponents. The scale of these arrests led to the creation of early concentration camps to hold the prisoners.

The early concentration camps primarily held political prisoners as the Nazis sought to remove opposition, such as socialists and communists, and consolidate their power.

Here’s an article form 1933:

They teach this stuff in public elementary schools. Did you not go to school?

It’s not east or possible to dispel that it’s a literal theocratic ethnostate. It’s something they’re pretty open about. Still think it’s worth a visit. Lots of places with shitty governments are worth visiting.

I’ve never boiled tap. It’s safe where I live. I do have a reverse osmosis filter though. But only for taste, and to remove hardness to protect my glassware.

There’s

Mlem

Memmy

Liftoff

Thunder

All in beta/TestFlight

Then there’s lemon which isn’t in beta yet.

So I’ve tried them all and this one ☝️ is definitely the best chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Right now yes. But I think they point that things shift a bit will be when 3rd party apps and mod tools are more fleshed out. If Lemmy keeps up with moderate growth until then I think we could see a significant portion of posters moving here. Not saying most, but enough that communities could thrive. We don’t need millions of users.

I actually think this video emphasizes things people at the first step need not bother with. The average Reddit user needs to simply know that if you join a given server you’ll be able interact with most the others, and you can subscribe when you see posts at c/all. This video is better for people who’ve already signed up and browsed for a bit.

This gets old really quickly.

Japanese curry is always a nice comfort food.

Plaster, mostly.

People are going to critique titles. Welcome to life. Life is tough. I get it.

Hard to moderate. Brings influencers and bots. Doesn’t contribute anything that can’t be easily found elsewhere.
