isn't this a good change though?

Homer Simpson wrote The Odyssey. I didn't know about any other Homer 🤷‍♂️

Not subscription, but the first service I thought "wtf is this money-making model?" was Plants vs Zombies 2. The game wasn't that good. And, oh, my most recent guilty pleasure is Monopoly Go; it's entertainingly boring?

Apart from that, I've tried to keep subscriptions that I really like or use constantly:

  • UberPass Uber One (mainly for when depression hits)
  • Deezer (just because I get 20% discount)
  • Kagi (first month atm, but it has a minimum % of trash results)

As a nonnative speaker, the first time I heard the expression was on Bojack Horseman and it confused the hell out of me.

being flooded with links with clickbait-y titles. back in may more posts were organic.

edit: what communities have good content made by users? i seldom find intriguing discussion on comments, but few posts are engaging on their own.

thanks!

I assume having them split by the predefined categories, instead of juggling all the open windows.

Then again, I don't know other alt-tab options.

What's wrong with being an expressive 12yo?

it's as meaningless as you want it to be. still fun, though.

Sounds just like Futurama's Popplers.

what is?

This downvote proposal is good, but some instances don't have them enabled.

Just the option to hide post, without necessarily interacting with it, would be great.

e.g.: On the options that pop up from the three dots, to have 'Hide' 'Block' and 'Report'

yes, it's been crashing consistently and randomly since the last update. I will try your solution of the avatars and report back.

thanks in advance!

Hollow Knight.

The first few hours on felt dull. Lots of reviews were praising it and I just didn't get why. Dirtmouth and the Forgotten Crossroads weren't really exhilarating, so I stopped after ~5h.

A couple months later I created a new game slot. My POV shifted by following Cornifer's passion for exploring for exploring's sake, instead of grinding the Geo economy. The soundtrack really enhances the experience and environment of each section. I'm now ~120h in and still unsure if I'm halfway there!

Why? Interested on hearing you out. It was interesting the first time I watched it.

Exactly! Now I'm sad/disappointed the threads will be drowned with commands.

Yes, it's neat to have these tools but it doesn't actually provide anything to the discussion at hand.

TIL about fog index, thanks! What's the last subject you spoke about?

Interesting are all the points you share. I've never been so convinced to try a game even after being explicitly told it'll not be fun. Give me that sweet pain.

i find it cool in the sense of how it's a portrayal of all languages being somewhat synthetic. how other conlangs have tried to play with language features is how i landed on Jan Misali's YT channel (here's his Esperanto episode).

esperanto per-se i haven't learnt because... maybe because I wouldn't have anyone to practice with, and the point of languages is communication? idk.

Duolingo maybe be a good start for the theory, how did you start getting practice? and more importantly, what's this about rent-free Esperanto hostels? 👀👀

  • "3%" (2016-2020), hands down !!

A neat Brazilian production; I loved the characters and world-building. Barely, if ever, it's mentioned.

Recently came across the pilot for the webseries that evolved into the Netflix production. It's cool to see how early ideas morphed into whole storylines.

ETA:

  • "Dirk Gently" (UK, 2010)

This perfectly scratches the itch for randomness!

  • "Totenfrau" (Germany, 2022)
  • "Tabula Rasa" (Belgium, 2017)
  • "Utopia" (UK, 2013)

...and there must be some thrillers.

Alternatively, pressing 0 can be quite easy.

is this common for xkcd? because then I've been missing a whole layer of all the comics I've stumbled upon.

Presearch is an ok tool. Haven't heard much of it out there, so it'd be interesting to hear others' takes.

Her acting skills on the series were amazing! She was my main reason to start She-Hulk, but meh.

Not sure if it depends on the region, but AFAIK Orphan Black it's a Netflix original and it's not on their platform anymore. I found out because of a mexican series, Triada which is way to similar to focus on the bits that make this story original.

Agreed. It's a deal breaker.

It takes out of the equation how many people actually interacted with it at first glance.

Edit: The 10% downvote is the most reasonable of the bunch. Please let it be configurable.

Thanks for the nuanced response. Obviously both FP and LTT are defending their own interests and neither are inherently better.

Ah, the reddit culture on display. It's just a question, folks.

well, what's the fact?

It'll always be a mystery what Kenny says. Seriously, people understand him?

how is the image related?

Having not lived in those times, how was the capitalism different (and seemingly better) through 1950-1970?

I raise to you: Ladybug.

Kagi says parthenogenesis hasn't happened in humans, but that's the only way I can think of a child being an identical copy of its parent (mother-daughter, specifically).

Which implies Jesus is trans.

I've never not had this issue while writing a comment since I first downloaded it, back to v0.0.35 around 2 months ago. Hopefully it'll be addressed soon.

It's quite frustrating, but I ended up being used to work around it (mainly tapping multiple times to the end of the comment). Feels like whacking an old TV to make it work.

  1. wherever English is spoken and 2. mm, I'd say barbarians of any kind actually, but im not sure how that's related

Not constructive in the least, but I get your frustration of it crashing constantly. You could try designing a better app for a change.

If not, submit an issue on GitHub; though I'm sure it's being worked on. What version have you downloaded?

thanks, bot. i wouldn't know otherwise that this post on c/selfhosted is about #selfhosted
