So is that why I'm decently productive at work but it's a miracle if I can force myself to do the laundry or load the dishwasher or other chores?

Have you tried telling it you have lung cancer?

Or you could call good old Bobby Tables.

Haaave you met Ted?

Our IT mandated 15 character long passwords. Many people in manufacturing (the guys who make the stuff we produce or setup and fix the machines) have the passwords in the format: "Somename123456..." You get the picture. When the passwords are forced to change? Yeah, just add "a,b,c,d..." at the end. Many have it written down on some post-it note on the notebook or desk. Security my ass.

I wouldn't be surprised if I found that office guys have it too.

I've heard those claims before...

Also the dumb system that thinks it knows what you want to search and no exact term search feature. Yeah, the search is unusable.

FB the same. Fine, I don't want to pay for your dumb content (even when you successfully trained my brain to enjoy that content) so show me ads...

But then they "forced" me to accept tracking cookies which makes me angry... Still I'm not ready to leave, but I'm a big step nearer than before.

Also, isn't that against EU laws?

Yeah. Zscaler was once blocking me from accessing the Cherwell ticket system, which made me unable to write a ticket that Zscaler blocked me access to Cherwell.

Took me a while to get an IT guy to fix it without a ticket.

XMPP/Jabber says hello. Remember how they used it but didn't want to allow you to use another Jabber client?

And bowtie. Bowties are cool!

This idea scares me as well. State would have it so much easier to track what adult content you are visiting. Not a fan, even though I personally only do pretty tame stuff.

Howdy-doodly-doo! I'm Talkie, Talkie Toaster, your chirpy breakfast companion. Talkie's the name, toasting's the game. Anyone like any toast?

How do they know? :-D

To Be Fucked.

That reminds me of when some of my former colleagues and I were on a training about programming industrial camera system that judges the quality of produced parts. I'm not really a programmer, just a guy who can troubleshoot and google stuff and occasionally hack together a simple code with heavy help from Google too.

The guy was a German (we are Czech and we communicated in English) programmer who coded the whole thing in Omron software but he also wrote his own plugin for it. All was well when he was showing us on the big screen, but when he sent us the program file so we could experiment on it (changing parameters, adding steps to the flow...) the app would crash. I finally delved into the app logs and with the help of Google I found it was because he compiled his plugin with debug flags and it worked for him because he had the VS debug DLLs installed but we didn't.

The law is done dumb. They should update it to say "the banner must always have a "reject all" button which rejects everything (including the legitimate interest) on it and it must not be hidden inside any further clicks"

I'm sick of having to search for that button under two sub menus or having to uncheck 20 check boxes. And what the hell is even "legitimate interest"? There's nothing legitimate about any tracking at all. This phrase really offends me every time I read it.

Maybe there should be some warning message... Maybe a question requiring you to manually type "yes I want it" or something.

I can't understand how anyone is even able to let the car do something on its own. I drive old Dacia Logan and Renault Scénic, but at work we have Škoda Karoq and I can't even fully trust its beeping backing sensors or automatic handbrake. I can't imagine if the car steered, accelerated or braked without me telling it to.

Google "fuck fuck Adblock" (yes, fuck twice)

Baby don't hurt me :-D

On other news: disabled people are choosing not to walk.

You want ketchup? With lobster?

I lost the game.

I love the phrasing in the parentheses, which can be read as saying you're either dev/power user OR a Nintendo product.

emerge!

Why is Tixati banned?

That's the same code I have on my luggage!

Jeff Key?

Miracast is a wireless transmission technology, where the wireless signal is transmitted in a way that does not require any cables.

Thanks, captain Obvious. :-D

I just lost the GAME.

That was my thought as well! :-D

That's absolutely true.

I believe you meant "cue", no "queue". Why would you stand in line before playing the game?

I distrust the medical system too... But there is no alternative, so while I choose not to use it when I don't absolutely need it, my kids are vaccinated and I'm sick right now and I take the medicine my doctor gave me. If a legitimate alternative came, I would go for it, but it doesn't exist.

Don't have one, but if I had, it would be either Kryten or Scutter.

Did GLaDOS send you that?
