I mean as long as you had full floor to ceiling stalls I think it would be fine to have un-gendered bathrooms with stalls, there's no real reason to segregate the sinks

I really wish they would do sales occasionally, I played the demo and really liked it but $35 is just a bit more than I want to spend on a single game

It's so weird how they're just insisting it isn't an android app even though people have proven it is. Who do they expect to believe them?

Ooh yes good patent it so other manufacturers won't do it. It's a win-win since I already wouldn't want a ford

Edit: what it uses cameras to look at other vehicles??? That is much worse

I feel like even though biden didn't perform well, trump just said way too many obvious lies. Like saying the nazi rally in charlottesville was just a lie made up by biden?? Despite there being photos of it???

It's a miracle we have wine at all, reverse engineering an entire operating system isn't easy. Be grateful for what we have (which is already enough to run a ton of software really well)

I don't understand how transphobes manage to be so stupid. Just let people do what they want with their life, it affects you in absolutely no way if someone else is trans yet they waste their own time trying to make trans people have worse lives.

Honestly I think it's just because people are mean and want someone to bully and trans people aren't quite as protected by society as other marginalized groups yet so they're the easiest target. Plus probably from some people it's fear that if other people are allowed to be who they are then they themselves might realize they aren't the perfect little cis straight christian they want to be seen as.

Last time I was using a windows computer I was turning it off to re image it and I didn't want to wait for it to shut down so I just held the power button since it didn't matter if it got messed up and windows popped up this message on screen that was like "Please stop holding the power button we just need a few minutes". Like what are you doing you aren't supposed to tell the user what to do, that isn't the job of a computer

Wait is this a blood clot demo that's been relabeled

I don't understand why any hardware uses HDMI anymore anyway, what does it have that displayport doesn't?

I like the page on "Pumping" which as far as I can tell is a completely made up term https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/glossary/what-is-pumping/

This could actually be very useful. For example if your controller is completely covered in some sort of industrial lubricant that tape won't stick to, then you can pay this guy and he'll have to clean it so he can tape it. Now you have a clean controllet

This still runs Linux, or whatever else you want to run, it just has a RISC-V CPU instead of an x86 or ARM one

Every website knows what browser you're using unless you change your user agent to pretend to be a different one (although even that won't always work). The banner is a little weird, but it really is good advice, chromium based browsers are a huge danger to the open web

Wow I've never seen this bot just completely fail this badly before

It really does, if we give Google a monopoly over the web browser market they have way more power to do things like restricting ad blockers and tracking users. Remember: Google is an advertising company, they make their money from collecting user data and serving targeted ads. Everything else they do is secondary at this point and they will absolutely use their other products to increase the money they make from advertising as much as they can

I really wish valve would make this more clear on steam store pages. It says games are "unsupported" on steam deck due to anticheat when really it should say something like "The developer of this title does not allow players using the steam deck" so that people are more aware it's not linux or valve's fault

I wish water was thicker

While this would definitely be useful and make linux software more accessible, I'm worried about something similar to Android's Google Play Services eventually happening where almost every piece of software, despite being for an open source operating system, depends on proprietary google software

A lot of venues require events to use ticketmaster so the artists often have no choice

You, just by a driving, got passed. Soldier, a hemi!!

I did this as soon as they posted the tweet. They didn't even bother telling me they had done it or acknowledge my message and I just had to try logging in to make sure it actually got deleted. The complete lack of communication makes me even more glad to never give them business again.

I had a friend who wanted to try linux but insisted on arch because it's what I used at the time even though I said they shouldn't and gave many suggestions for better distros. They gave up after about a day and went back to windows. I don't know what they expected, multiple people warned them not to use arch.

I wish, the new dell optiplexes are terrible, not only do they not have an actual psu switch, it takes like 20 seconds of holding the power button before they turn off and then you have to wait like 10 seconds before you can turn it on again, during which time it does a really good job of pretending to be on and flashing disk activity lights and things but it's actually just self testing and you have to wait for it to turn back off before you can actually turn it on again. Dell used to make such good quality computers but they are genuinely awful now

Also, they always seem to forget that if you force trans people to use the restroom for their agab, you're also forcing trans men into women's restrooms. So now instead of having women they want to pretend are men in the women's restroom you now have actual men in the women's restroom.

(But also gendered restrooms are just dumb everyone would be so much better off without them)

Yeah the biggest problem for people who can't use a computer always seems to be that they just won't ever read what it says on the screen. The solution to problems is often very obvious if you just actually read error messages or tooltips or anything

I almost lost my legs when The Object fell out of someone's purse in front of me in a line

I miss how cheerful computers used to always look with wallpapers like that. Some of the old suse wallpapers also have the same feel and they're neat

Well, since it's so easy, go do it.

Hopefully the fact that they felt the need to do this means they're doing badly financially (and hopefully this doesn't help with that)

Why does the second one from the left look like putin

It's always so sad to see how far HP has fallen. They used to be such an innovative company and produce so many good products but then they decided to not anymore.

You do know that people are allowed to use names from things they don't actually believe, right? If someone called their club The Zeus Club, would you think they believed in Zeus or just that they thought it was a cool name?

I stopped watching when he got that one rare IBM workstation and sloppily dremeled in all the the screws to open it because he was too lazy to go to the store to buy a screwdriver. That was before I even heard about this and the stupid gun stuff. I know it's like a minor thing and he only damaged screws and sheet metal parts that could in theory be replaced with a medium amount of difficulty, but I just can't imagine intentionally damaging something very uncommon because you're too lazy to buy a screwdriver
