I use it. It meets all my needs and doesn't have and bugs/issues that I've encountered. What more are you hoping from it?

I had nothing to do with this.

Maybe I came to the channel late, after it's prime, but I have never seen the value of LTT & affiliates.

The review videos have seemed sub par when cross checking against multiple reviewers.

The entertainment videos felt cringey even when they covered a subject I was interested in (PlayStation dev kits, other obscure tech)

It was a quick unsubscribe when I felt my time was getting wasted.

What?! What the hell are you talking about?!

I'm happy for them. Immich, along with Nextcloud, was the driving force behind my getting in to self hosting - getting away from the ridiculous and increasing subscription prices associated with keeping family photos and documents.

It has come an incredibly long way in the time I've been using it. I've kicked them a donation or two, a first for me with OSS, because it continued to provide so much value for me.

I had read earlier that Alex was hoping to transition to working on this full time and I am happy he has been able to see that realized in - what appears to be - a positive manner.

Why did it take so long to get this implemented during Biden's term? Why are we only seeing this just before the next election. I ask as an outsider to the states.

I agree with your preference for forum/community style.

But I think the purpose of microblogging is to follow a personality, rather than a topic or community. And users that share there do so to cultivate a following, which would be harder on Reddit/Lemmy (only ones that I can think of who do that successfully are onlyfans users).

Not in a place to watch the video, what's the tl;dw?

Matter of opinion. I would rather have an empty feed than have to scroll past all the memes I have no interest in.

Thought he was dissing someone named "AL" Tupac at first.

Isn't that because it was spread by the British in the first place?

What do taxi drivers have to do with it?

I came to explore Lemmy with the migration after Reddit's API changes. Baconreader was my app of choice, and it died with the change.

I didn't have any anger against Reddit - there was no righteous "fuck you!" in my actions - but the reason I stayed on Lemmy and very rarely touch Reddit is because the concept of the fediverse really speaks to me. I want to see a more decentralized internet succeed and so that is where I will spend my time, niche as it is.

Too video, didn't watch?

I tend to agree, but isn't it a little harder to control whom gets caught in that kind of constructive dismissal rather than targeted layoffs?

Private trackers (e.g. TorrentLeech) often have rules around large torrents (>15gb) or even around season packs for shows. This means it's trivial to download 4K season packs, and all you have to do is seed them for the requisite number of days (to avoid being tagged with a hit and run), rather than try to maintain a ratio.

Well, thanks to FileList I finally managed to catch an open signup at TorrentLeech.

Haven't used it, just know it exists.

The number of "barely used" Steam Deck Kijiji/marketplace ads that shot up yesterday was incredible.

I was curious, so I read the GitHub page:

Molly connects to the Signal server, so you can chat with your Signal contacts seamlessly. Please remember to review the Signal Terms & Privacy Policy before signing up.

Someone is going to say porn, and for that person I want to know how the hell you hold that thing one handed (for long enough).

I used to feel this way, but the aggressiveness at switch Edge pushes every new feature - re-enabling after disabling, constant nags, etc - has really turned me off of it. It's become software I regularly have to argue with.

It doesn't help that out of the box, Edge feels like a browser that my grandmother would have maintained (with so many glued on hotbars/sidebars/shopping popups).

I am using the service, but there's a lot I don't like and I'm hoping to spin up my own matrix server and host their bridges on my own machine.

  1. Beeper cannot send View once messages/media. 2.View once media that is sent on native Signal and WhatsApp are viewable forever through Beeper.
  2. There is no way to delete chats/messages
  3. Read receipt settings are not respected in signal & WhatsApp, and read receipts are always sent.

Mexico City and he fainted? Altitude and a flight of stairs got him.

I've run both, and I found both required about the same level of technical understanding for an in house setup.

I started with Plex as it worked nicer with my remote, then moved to Jellyfin when I picked up an Android TV. It was the hardware transcoding (without having to pay) that sealed the deal for me.

Other way around

Aves Libre is already a far better gallery that you should be using even if this wasn't happening.

This was an obvious outcome when they were going to IPO. When it was announced they were going public, I exported all of my data and had all of my records with them destroyed.

Then I made a little bit of money on their stock and got out of that too.

What is/was it?

Wild. What an obscure piece of internet history to have missed out on as an old Justin.tv user.

I used a Kindle, but get the lion's share of my ebooks from Anna's archive. Books are often delivered to my Kindle through the email to Kindle service.

I have no illusions that every single book I read is fed through Amazon's data machine. The Kindle estimates the time to completion of a book based on your reading speed - everything that it could possibly interpolated from your reading... Will be. And you can bet it will be sold, or at the very least advertised to you on Amazon.

Here's the state of BioWare right here:

Can't even read the blog post because it's blocked by Connie preferences and then a dialogue for applying cookie preferences that takes minutes (?!) to run.

Thanks for the archive link.

No one is asking the question because the option is there.

I'm Immich, find a file that has an empty cloud icon (indicates a file on the server and not on your phone). The top bar shows 4 icons: heart, cloud with a down arrow inside it, plus sign, and info circle.

Click the cloud with the down arrow inside it to sync to your device.

Alternatively, the bottom bar also has your OS share button which offers another multitude of ways to download and send the photo.

Okay, but what is the feature list?

I went in to that interested in the topic (I too loved Pokemon glitches) but bounced hard off of the author's writing style.

Wait, is that actually Twitch's history - Justin.tv?

I would read news with bukkake as a verb in the title.
