Honestly don't buy this car. It's way overpriced for what it is (hardly classifiable as a car) and is tiny. I just like the design and wanted to share it. Also is a car and I don't like the concept of cars as a default mean of transport in general, but I appreciate the design choices.

no way, silly car posting is trendy now

No but the standard version has standard doors if you like your miniature car not stolen

Bonus: there is no AC, so the Topolino comes with a small portable fan for when it gets hot

I just love this design so much idk why releases happy brain chemicals

Tell Pepito I just met him but I would die for him

Honestly I wish minivans were more popular here in Europe, everytime I see one of these Japanese designs I'm like oooo silly little van :3

Also I don't know if yours was a critical position against my "fuck cars" stance but the fact that in a lot of countries cars are the only mean of transport because of poorly functioning or non-existent buses and trains is exactly why I take this stance, as I myself live in a country and particularly a city where public transport has been a lost cause for years.

I actually love cars, that's why I share those I find cool over here. When I say "fuck cars" I say it to express criticism around the whole car-centric infrastructure built by capitalism.

Second reminder to watch rise of the tmnt

Damn I didn't know I was popular 💀 thanks for the advice, will definitely do in the future since I was planning to start a series of posts like this one lol

I've unfortunately grown as a car guy in the purely aesthetic side of things and just can't stop appreciating clever designs when I see them

I want to add that in Italy, especially in the South, you will find lots of these around still being driven and sold on the grey market because they're tough as hell. My brother has got one that got passed on from my aunt and it still works. The drive is terrible though, it looks like it was made for a child to drive.

Yo bro why are you doing that?!

Correct, tho I think it's mainly targeted to people who already have a car but personally I would see small electric vehicles as a more ethical alternative to cars and a more comfortable alternative to bikes for daily commuting.

Just found out this model, like ElectricBrands' Evetta, is based on the very silly Isetta

edit: typo.

Previously known as the eBussy. I wonder why they changed the name.

It's fun to fuck cars

please

Yup

Damn now I need a racing game with just silly little cars

90 km/h according to the manufacturers

I guess it's a bit better than having a light quadricicle that is limited to 45 km/h and can only be used inside of the city. Cars like these are far more useful outside of city centres where public transport is not as reliable imho.

Bonus: the MAT New Stratos, a sports car based on the Ferrari F430 inspired by the Stratos, and the Bertone-Lancia Stratos Zero, a concept car from which the Stratos was developed.

How the fuck do you go from the Stratos and the Delta to this

It was just a cute pic I had saved from the first season (good last ronin reference tho)

:D

Pretty much summarizes my vision on the matter

ikr there's this awful trend lately of awesome cartoon shows getting canned after 2-3 seasons (look at DuckTales 2015, Mao Mao, The Owl House, too) because they don't get enough recognition since only the big budget shitty live action ones get on the main pages of streaming platforms AND they get fought over by those networks who can't keep the whole series on one platform only. No we don't need ANOTHER live action rendition of an old cartoon, we need more entertainment for children and young adults that resort to either shitty kids entertainment or boring unoriginal adult content!!!

I'm so in love with electric microcars I just can't get enough

The Microlino is a genius design but I personally prefer the Topolino because it actually looks like a shrinked car (though it looks like the Microlino has better specs), which is also why I prefer it to the Citroën Ami which it is based on

By more comfortable I just mean the option to transport more people and/or heavier luggage. Bikes are cool as hell but unfortunately have their limitations

I don't target everyone that enjoys cars in general, mind that, I'm a car enjoyer myself.

I mostly refer to a series of behaviours that some (right-wing) petrolheads seem to have which are against progressive ideas, like different approaches to transportation that go against the idea of car-centric cities or the switch to electric engines in favor of 'muh engine sound'. That's why I specifically target petrolheads, and while I agree that drivers are a lesser problem, let's not forget that drivers are buyers.

But I realize I've done a lot of generalizing saying that so I will refrain from using the phrase again in future posts. My apologies.

I was thinking of posting it next. I like that it's shaped like the car I used to draw when I was 8.

Saw a couple irl when I was in Iceland and I can confirm it's definitely a scrimblo car.

The funny thing is the target aren't even Italian drivers: most cities are not suitable for electric vehicles with a severe lack of electric charger stands, and a lot of the market is dominated by big family cars. If you need a small car, you'd just buy a used Smart that is way cheaper than a new Topolino and in general the budget for a new car is not enough for a full electric. Lots of opinions from Italian drivers have already been against the model, especially since it's "just" a restyling of the Ami. So yeah I love the car, but the time and place are totally wrong: I imagine electric microcars being a thing in Italy once batteries become cheaper

Damn didn't know they were dangerous. Though recently I saw a very cool new electric minivan clearly inspired by the likes of the one I posted, I'll have to look for it

It's actually based on the Ami! Basically just a restyling, just like the Opel Rocks Electric.

Now I have.
