Why no one's talking about the math? Monthly expenses add to $49,000 times 12 equal $588,000 per year. That's clearly not $300,000 and not even earning $400,000 gets you to the end of the year.

Can someone explain in lay terms why this is relevant? I read somewhere that it was considered as important as the invention of the transistor but didn't catch why.

You are linking to an old version. There's a new version v0.9.8 and was renamed to Liftoff.

Also, as a suggestion just link to the releases page and the latest will be on top.

Thanks for the explanation. So, this means we are another step closer to quantum computers for example?

I'm trying to grasp on this concept and how we could see this in our daily lives. Better batteries? I thought about that because they get hot when charging but not sure if it's because of the resistance. Going into standard circuits means we'll have better SoCs? better integrated circuits? Faster computers or phones?

Im trying to think about a daily life application but maybe it won't have a direct impact on that area, maybe it's more about facilitating research that will eventually turn into daily life stuff?

It's an American thing. If you live anywhere else probably use WhatsApp so you don't have that problem.

Great! How do I download it?

I play with mic and voice disabled

ActivityPub. It's a protocol just like SMTP for email. It allows these different platforms you mentioned to interact with each other. They all together form the fediverse.

I know I'm late to the discussion but why is lemmy.world showing up on beehaw instances? They refederated?

I use GBoard but since you asked for favorite, mine is Word Flow, Windows Phone's keyboard. When MS killed Windows Phone they kind of ported it to iOS but never to Android.

The Windows 10 keyboard is very similar to this Word Flow and the closest I've been to recreate it on Android is using RBoard and the Xbox theme but since I don't have a real reason to root I haven't done it again, so I'm just using the regular GBoard. Also, last time I checked (few years ago) the Xbox theme didn't have a dark mode so that's another reason not to use it.

I'd use SwiftKey but they keys are to thin. I've tried using skins like the Surface Duo but still too thin for me.

Another keyboard I liked was TouchPal but I believe was removed from the Play Store for having malware, if I recall correctly.

Maybe on the widgets? Long press a blank area in your home screen to see the options and look for widgets.

Also, I think Google TV adds a toggle on quick settings, maybe you can use that.

As long as they don't force M365 accounts to switch, I'm ok. I prefer the native Outlook desktop app than the PWA.

What movie is this?

Browser still not working for me. The interface loads but there's no content. Also can't login on browser, after entering user and password and clicking login nothing happens.

Thanks! That was it. I'm using Firefox on Android. Changed language to English (US) and it worked! @ruud@lemmy.world can you please check this issue? using a browser with a default language other than English will result in the page not loading correctly. Workaround is just setting the browser language to English. Thanks!

I like this idea

Yes please. Front and center

WhatsApp

Thanks!

Thanks! I'll check them out.

Got it. So it'll eventually lead to develop or improve daily stuff. I hope this material becomes a reality.

Well I really hope this is real then and more importantly it translates to cheap, clean energy

What happened to vlemmy?

This is the way. I play COD Mobile, mostly BR and there's some areas on both BR maps where you know a lot of people is going to land so there's where I go all the time. If I die, ok, just repeat.

Also, pretty cool you found a group of like minded people who don't focus on the score but on the fun.

Thanks! Great post. Lots of apps

Lemmon

Good point but just because you know where certain things are on screen, that doesn't mean everybody knows. So you have to account for that too. Like design considering that that's the first time someone's looking at that screen.

Xiaomi Redmi K40 Gaming. I like the shoulder buttons for gaming but dislike MIUI bloatware.

Suggestion, just link to the releases page. The latest will be on top. A new version v.0.9.8 was released 20 min ago.

Is there an Android app for Kbin? How do I get it?

Lots of Xiaomi phones come with IR and an app called Mi Remote with many devices/brands to control.

Can't subscribe from my account on lemmy.world any idea what could be?

The communities don't show up in search and if I type the community directly I get an error 404: couldn't find community. Example: https://lemmy.world/c/IdiotsInCars@lemmit.online

And kbin too please.

As far as I know, you don't need an account on lemmy.world, with your current account you can subscribe to communities, vote, comment, etc., on all instances.
