Sonic Adventure fans be like:

Original Ninja Gaiden trilogy is great (I hate Ninja Gaiden II's stage hazards but still).

Super Mario Kart... eh, it's pretty average compare to the kart racers that came after it. It's not worth playing beyond curiostiy or nostalgia.

There is nothing wrong with Super Mario World but for some reason it doesn't quite click with me.

Battletoads would be a fun game if knew what the fuck it wanted to be.

Original Metroid? It's kinda jank and a pain to play without a map, just play Zero Mission.

Zelda's overworld can fuck right off, I swear it's only there to sell strategy guides. Dungeons are fun but if I already dumped 50$ on the game in the 80s only to realize there is no way to get through it without a guide or a magazine I wouldn't be super jazzed.

Tetris is a timeless classic.

Atari was great until 83, I think Activision's 2600 library hasn't aged one bit. It's all downhill from there, computers were the place to be for Western titles back then.

See, this is why the liveservice model is fundementally bad. Even if they don't fuck it up on launch, they can always fuck it up later.

Stick to offline folks.

"Redfall is looking awesome, it has Arkane's best gunplay yet."

There are no consequences for the leadership when they fuck up.

Lmao, that's what they spent the meme stonks money on?

There is actually a fantastic video essay about Gamestop bros by Folding Ideas (the guy who made Line Goes Up) called "This is financial advise". I highly recommend listening to it, the whole thing turned out to be way more complicated than it seemed.

My hope would be that this encourages open source engine usage but it'll probably simply make Unreal Engine more popular instead.

15 years? What about 80 years? There are movies from the 40s that are still under copyright.

What do you mean? It's been removed in launch 🙃

What the fuck is the one on the very bottom.

It searches through libgens, z-library and has it's own mirrors of the files they serve on top of that. I think it was created as a response to Z-Library's domain getting seized but I could be wrong.

Or at least use Mastodon in addition to X.

There is a pretty fun metroidvania called The Weird Dream that I only know about because FitGirl repacked it. They don't seem like a threat to me.

Can we discuss actual retro gaming instead of has-been publishers selling their old games back to you again for easy profit?

Judging by the previews it seems like typical superhero affair in a generic, looter shooter as a service.

It's single player, but requires an internet connection and has a season pass.

I didn't know Devolver Digital and Team17 were public, that probably isn't good.

I disagree with the "not public trackers" part. Private trackers are better in a lot of ways but not everyone wants to bother with them. Stick to reputable release groups on public trackers and you'll be fine.

For future projects you may want to consider Godot or Stride. Free and Open Source.

I second this, it's best experienced without any spoilers or prior knowledge. And that's coming from the guy who usually checks the ending of the thing he wants to try out (yeah I am weird like that).

Those are very worrying statistics. I am planning to upgade to a discrete GPU from the 5600G's iGPU, I hope this doesn't become a problem in the future.

Is that really the only important aspect? That it has the NBA or Madden or FIFA brand? Does the actual game not matter at all? Because if so, I think sports gamers made their decision and have no right to complain about it's results.

Nier's fandom is a lucky bunch.

Not suprising, good mobile games usually come from small indie devs (like all good things). When a big IP gets attached to it, it usually doesn't go well for the hardcore audience.

I think it's bad news, I just don't see how it could be good.

Oh hey, that's Contra Force.

That game is awesome once you overclock it by the way.

Every week some other game seems to claim that title.

Who cares what they have if most people can't see'em?

Last I checked BIB wanted torrent master on RED for recruitment. Nobody's gonna bother with that for one comic volume. And nobody's gonna risk their account inviting OP so you can forget about that too.

I swear, the video game industry is the worst place you can work at.

I think the internet requirement super sucks because those servers go down eventually. It's likely to be a big problem on launch day as well. The more expensive editions come with an exclusive mission so that probably sets the tone for the season pass too. We will have no wait and see.

Why even suggest a tracker that's basically impossible to join? BIB is super hard even by private tracker standards.

It's getting an extended edition? I didn't even know about that, that sounds awesome! I'll be all over it once it drops for sure, I wonder if any of the new routes will be able to become my new favorites.

I bet this is about the 1980 game.

In my experience most entry level private trackers allow using VPNs. I don't know about anonymous mode, I have never heard about it before.

With eighty dollars you can have four or more great games instead. I recommend you try Huntdown first, I have been having a blast with it.

Having Goldeneye 007 on PC would be great.

In today's gaming envoriment large companies can make promise after promise, deliver on none of them and walk away like nothing happened. The worst thing that can happen is some people calling you bad names online. What makes you think advertisement would be more ethical at a time no one gave a shit about gaming?

I think Double Dragon 3 unlocked certain moves depending on how many quarters you've put into the arcade machine. Also some of those cryptic NES games would have hint hotlines that would cost a ton of money, this stuff is old as hell.

I don't know, I think even back then PS1 and Saturn had the better controllers.
