Some people need structure. It's not unreasonable to provide it to them.

I think you're remembering some instance where a pardon can expose the recipient to civil liability. Or at least it was theorized it might...

Bannon, stone or one of them.

This is such a weird exemption. It's so narrow that these places will have to raise their wages by default anyway.

Nothing will stop their employees from just leaving to take a job at McDonald's for $20/hr instead of the $15 or whatever panera wants to pay.

Yeah it's a shitty parsing of it, because my mind went there too.

But if the restaurant was using 1 entire cow to make 1 single 1/2lb burger, that's on the restaurant to do better.

There's a lot of that happening that corporations need to focus on.

I thought this was some sort of weeks old story being posted....

But is the gun that he's selling the same gun he "totally did not buy, we swear"

Edit: perhaps not https://www.meidastouch.com/news/exclusive-trump-gun-auctioned-off-at-mar-a-lago-likely-violation-of-indictment-release

I was hanging with a girl that was pretty chill. We had hung a few times over the few months we had met, and had a nice platonic thing going.

She came over and we started to watch some documentary, and in it, there was an abusive man of African descent. She straight up said, "I think there's something genetic with them that causes them to have a short temper and behave like that".

Yeah, we never hung out again.

"part of the fabric" not "the fabric"

I'm an ally, but at the end of the day let's not over conflate statements. It doesn't serve anyone a favor.

Over stating gives poor intentioned people room and also means that supporters relent.

"The fabric" should never apply to any group tbh.

I'm generally pro legalization of drugs, but will say this is likely to be much more effective than the war on drugs ever was.

You don't outlaw possession, just the sales age. You'll see significantly fewer new starters as time goes because after 20 years 40 year olds that can buy wont be bothered to support fresh 18 year olds looking to start a new habit or whatever. The ones that really want to start can buy from abroad without any form of punishment.

I think it's different because I don't think anyone turns to their first cigarette looking to try and attain some new feeling. It's usually one of those things like... My friends were so I grabbed one from them and blah blah.

I would say I'm for the progressive increase in age, and I wrestle with my own hypocrisy seeing that I support legalizing other drugs. But maybe that's rooted in the basis that I've never had a pothead or dude on shrooms negatively impact me. Cigarettes however--littered everywhere, get smoke in your face, etc

Almost like they're concentrating them in some sort of encampment

Who is he going to squeal on? He's the top target.

That was the original idea. Pick people up going the way you're going. Minimal extra mileage, and get paid for the small inconvenience.

But now people are driving just to drive.

By hurting potential users looking for the naswrdz you've diminished the usefulness of the site.

It's a long play. frankly nobody wins and everyone loses.

Which is insane, given that they could test her blood sugar for pennies in two seconds and still charge her dollars.

It's not like they need an MRI for that.

Subscription printer. Why the fuck is that even a thing.

It doesn't make sense to any sane person. But basically:

The restaurant feels that costs have increased and in order to remain profitable they must raise prices. Instead of raising prices on the menu, take the canoli as an example, from $11 to $13, they decided to add it after the calculation.

This means the customer may go out with an idea of what they would like to spend (maybe it's a special treat for them) orders based on the menu, figures tip and tax... Expects to be out for $100.... But surprise! You owe a fucking service charge.

Now-- I'm not into this particular restaurant's finances. Let's be generous and assume they need to charge more to break even. This is the shady (and should be illegal) way to do this. They should instead raise prices and be honest with the customer what they feel they need to charge.

This does not preclude congress from taking action, either. There are options.

ADMIN: DO YOU REALIZE THIS IS INAPPROPRIATE!?

Op: I don't see the problem.

Not to undervalue the efforts going into this, because I appreciate the new community and the transparency, but I believe we have wildly different definitions of 'almost bug free'

Which, is also something to consider about user experience consistency. Will be a challenge with growth. Fortunately, plugged in admins and devs will help.

It looks like the central organization revoked his membership status, not the local chapter...

For the motorcycles and bikes... Are we supposed to add the squares with the humans riding it? Are they part of the system?

Which gives me the fewest goddamn captchas?

To your last comment, ships never just boop. It smothers.

Let's say 100k tons for a ship, and make it long tons to make it an even 100,000,000kg. This ship was moving roughly 4m/s... Thus the kinetic energy was somewhere around 800 MJ. A stick of dynamite is about 1MJ.

I'm pretty sure 800 sticks of dynamite could've fucked that support up pretty good, too, bringing down the bridge deck.

It's more like either you give up on bridges or give up on ships if you are concerned about the two coexisting and breaking stuff in a low speed collision.

Too Good to go, but with weaponry.

No, there's a good documentary about their other role in fugitive apprehension called The Fugitive.

There was also an epilogue to it called US Marshals

Username doesn't check out?

There are greater issues than chiding her for using obvious hyperbole to emphasize the point she's previously made.

There are also greater issues senators should focus on than what senators wear, like literally solving any problem.

We can't let that hinder progress toward implementing the most responsible forms of power generation.

The school calfeteria.

But those are already taxed as ordinary income

It's likely the birthday is being rejected for not meeting minimum age to consent to the TOS.

But that's also a target demographic here. Let's say you talk with your partner and a proposal is coming in some near term future.

You go away for a weekend to the beach, but are not planning to propose--youre going to do that at the park where you first met or whatever.

SO sees this, gets excited, then get let down and isn't ever in the same great spirits the rest of the day/weekend.

Still a chaos inducing opportunity

I think they wish to have the same excitement and goofiness of the British Parliament, but lack the awareness of when to be funny and when to shut the fuck up.

Cause they got jobs and buy their own goddamn candy

On your Halloween after turning 18, the first house you knock on is obligated to give you the keys.

What moron made this. They obviously have no idea how to read signs.

It's -10440

This is not impossible, but I believe gorsuch will be an odd one out siding with the sane half. The "plain text" doesn't give him a free pass. Roberts I think will also fall on the sane side.

The rest, who fuckin knows.
