The fee you add for DoorDash etc should not be considered a tip. Tips are given after service is rendered, and are based on the quality of service. These fees are more like a bounty. "I'll pay $10 to the person that brings me a hamburger, dead or alive."

Coffee isn't even on your list.

Go to your room and think long and hard about what you've done.

I already do this with the word "solder" which confuses my fellow Americans greatly. They seem to think I'm lying that the L is sounded out in some other English speaking countries.

I just think the American pronunciation (SAW-dur) sounds wrong.

Pussies are warm, deep, and can be quite resilient. Trump voters as a whole have a long way to go before I would bestow them with that honorable title.

The difference being that Prince did that change to screw his record label intentionally.

Other differences include the facts that Prince had talent, and that some people liked him.

She had pink hair when they hired her. If the organization has rules about things like this then the hiring manager is the one at fault.

I am so happy that I'm not the only one that thought Apple Jacks were vastly more profitable than I had expected.

She had pink hair when they hired her. No one at the company bothered to engage with even a Zoom call to screen her appearance, so they are gonna do what now, exactly?

We really need a bot to translate these oddball units of mass into Volkswagen Beetles like the good Lord intended. Embrace standards, ffs.

You assert that "the left loves the massive pollution aspect of it" and expect someone to take you seriously? I hope you are trolling, because this statement isn't very well thought out. My understanding of the majority leftist energy position is that renewables like solar are preferable to burning hydrocarbons because of a lower lifetime environmental footprint. Do you have a different understanding of how leftists think?

You say she "has to create" this and that he "apparently needs parenting". Did you have some additional context that informs that opinion?

Couldn't there be other reasons, such as she just doesn't like doing those particular chores?

I always heard it as intelligence tells us tomatoes are fruit, wisdom tells us not to use it in a fruit salad.

Paper and Scissors were unable to attend.

Are you viewing dynamic or static content? For me, the difference is huge with games, etc but harder to tell with static images.

I'm going to continue coming here. My exit from Reddit is a slow slide... I only use old.reddit plus Apollo and RIF clients. When 3rd party clients are gone I will not use the official app, and I do not intend to continue accessing my feed daily. I don't believe that I'll delete my account - if that data in context can help someone else in the future, that's still a good thing.

I don't think I thought that all the way through.

Lana.. hey Lana..

DAAAANGER ZONE!!

I used to work for a company based in Draper, Utah. Once while visiting headquarters I had one of my Utah-native coworkers tell me that Utah is number one in the nation for Ice Cream, cosmetic surgery, and anti-depressants.

I can't comment on the accuracy, but it just feels right.

I share my name with a former baseball catcher that is most noted for an incident at home plate where he punched a guy that probably deserved it. I rarely get called on it though, he was not that well known, and he has been retired more than a decade.

The names are both common enough that there have been a few other notables with it as well, like the cinematographer that married a fairly high profile Hollywood actress a few years back.

I'm on the west coast, Northern California. Huh.

This is mine too! My phone's hotspot is "Get off my lawn you damn kids".

I'm on the 4a as well, had it since launch. Agreed about the headphone jack. I will add the one thing I dislike the most is that recording video in HD will overheat the phone and cause it to stop recording relatively quickly.

The thing I like the most is the size. For me it is a good compromise between screen real estate and pocket-ability.

It would be ok if you figured it out. There's dozens of us!

How did it break config? Is this a dual or multi monitor setup?

There have been issues with multi monitor placement, primary display setting etc that can get pretty fiddly to solve - seen it with different distros over many years of NVIDIA proprietary driver use.

Also, why does he always look like he's on day 3 of "I'm growing in a beard"? Shave or grow a beard amigo, this isn't the Don Johnson 1980's.

There is no install needed, you can just edit permissions and make the file executable and then when you open it or click it the app runs.

What won't be created by default is an application menu to run it from whatever desktop environment you use. You can create those if you wish. You can create a launcher in the menu manually, or you can use a tool called AppImageLauncher to create these for you.

There's a pretty good explanation here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1311600/add-an-appimage-application-to-the-top-menu-bar

Have you tried Days Gone? It had a rough launch, but it ended up being quite good, IMO. Might be worth a look.

It was friends and YouTube content creators from the UK that made me realize that dropping the L isn't done everywhere else. I grew up thinking that it was just one of those English words that break all the pronunciation rules.

Trust. I think it has been earned - so far. NCSA Mosaic was my second browser, and while I've experimented with all the major browsers and many not-so-major contenders over the interim couple of decades, Firefox has been a constant for me ever since it was first spawned off of Mozilla. I still believe the Firefox team when they say things, and so far that has worked out just fine.
