just a heads up for anyone deciding to make their own cables, make sure you buy pass through rj45 ends or it becomes substantially more annoying to make a successful crimp. with pass through you can prep your cable and it doesn't matter how long you make the strands you're working with because you cut the excess off, with non-pass through you have to cut them to a specific size and if it's too long when they bottom out, your conductors will stick out making your crimp weaker inviting poor connection issues later in the cable's life.
thank you for tuning in for this controls tech tip
Additionally, if your bucket handle breaks, you need third party software and hardware to create a matching digital signature to replace the handle.
What a great interview.
No fine for Perdue or Seaboard Triumph Foods though even though the kids were even allowed in the plants. How could we possibly hold them liable for vetting outside contractors.
how about fucking autopilot too instead of having to find a registry to disable it.
Edit: I'm dumb and don't know what I was even being mad at. I should have said copilot, that’s what I actually meant. I didn’t realize autopilot was a thing.
I don't know how to edit the main post on mobile so I'll just add this comment. The message I typed in the screenshot populates in a "pop up bar". The message no longer gets entered where you think it should go and it looks like shit and takes up extra screen space for no reason. I really dislike this change.
There's this third party hotline we use to call in so it's kind of separated in that they may not know our actual policy. Regardless anyone that has personal time knows what it's for.
I called to use a personal day. "Hi I'm calling off for my shift tomorrow. I want to use a personal holiday."
"Ok, why are you calling off?"
"Because I'm using a personal holiday. I have 30 hours left I want to use 10 tomorrow please."
"Ok I have you for 10 hours personal holiday I just need a reason"
"I don't need to provide a reason. It's a personal holiday. As long as it's no less than 8 hours before my shift, I just tell you guys I want to use a personal holiday. I don't have to provide a reason."
"So you don't want to provide a reason?"
"No, thank you."
That was basically the end of the conversation but I was just like "holy fuck lady please just stop" at the end. No one gives reasons for vacation days and personal holidays. Sick days ( if you're lucky enough to have sick time) are implied. Even if I called off, didn't have time to use and ate points, are you going to give me less points if I provide a reason? No. We're not going to do that. We're just being fucking nosey.
He missed the part where you need a lot more money to be able to broadcast your crimes and get away with it.
The CEO and now chairman of McDonald’s was paid $19.2 million last year in salary, bonuses and stock, according to federal securities filings.
He was paid a base salary of $1.4 million
Being friendly and just going on his base salary and not all the other piles of money tossed his way, in plebe terms, he makes $673/hour.
My experience got noticably worse that time they tried to make their UI look like tictok. I cancelled and deleted my account and have been on tidal ever since.
That seems like a bit of government overreach. I thought they didn't like that.
too complicated to bring in the busted piece
time to get good at projecting your project visually on the ceiling like beth harmon in the queen's gambit.
GM has blamed the Ultium bottleneck on an unspecified "automation equipment supplier."
Rockwell Automation has entered the chat.
From what I noticed they only added an emoji button though. This already is on my keyboard area. Maybe I'm missing something but at least you enjoy it.
I turn it off daily. I have 2 phones and I don't want to connect my personal phone to my BT speaker at work. I can see where you're coming from though.
Soldering stations that are fixed to an outlet are also expensive. It's not a cheap tool kit. If it is cheap, it's a garbage iron that will likely do the job but you will struggle.
I'm trying to buy one for work and every station worth considering is easily over 200 dollars US.
We still got shift differential on swing shift. I did it for 7 years. It maximizes 24/7 coverage with less crews, but it has a side effect of the end users of the schedule developing severe alcohol abuse and depression.
Sat - Friday 8 hours day
Wednesday - Tuesday 8 hours night
Friday - Thursday 8 hours second
The pay period was separated in such a way that you would not get double time even though you are scheduled 7 days in a row every week.
I messed the schedule up so I fixed it. And yes, there was only 1 day off between second shift and day shift rotation.
If your bucket does not have an internet connection, it has no bottom. It is merely a tube.
This isn't adhd it is the legit flow from after a bullshit meeting. Then by the time you get ramped back up again it's the next meeting.
My only gripe to the chart is there should be some flat lining down near the bottom on the productivity side as a buffer pre and post. You spend time doing nothing wondering why you need to attend during pre-meeting time then during post-meeting time, doing nothing thinking about how you weren't necessary at that meeting. Then you begin the accel ramping.
"Just plug your device in, you little bitch"
Hickman’s Family Farms: our workers may not be cage free, but the chickens are.
You swear correctly. He is the boatman of the river Styx. He ferries souls to Hades in the afterlife if the individual was buried with the ferry toll. If they didn't have the ferry toll they'd be fated to wandering the banks of the river Styx for 100 years before they could cross.
I think it's a cool name. Apologies if this was intended sarcasm and it went over my head.
Clone hero is fun.
I gave up on guitar hero after they implemented the greedy "tokens" model on GH: Live. It was very lame. You had to play a radio station of sorts to get tokens. Tokens could be used to play a song of your choice. When you ran out you had to play the radio station or buy more with real money lol.
I am trying to make the switch. The final straw for me was the starfield ad on my lockscreen followed by an accidental click that led to an ad for gamepass. I just watched 3 or 4 videos trying to do something simple that I don't know how to do. Each video from different creators have this running on a screen. Thought it was kind of funny.
Edit I really struggled getting games to work so I quit trying.
Yeah but at first it was only Cingular to Cingular or Verizon to Verizon "free unlimited"
You've done quite a bit of typing on your touchscreen there. You would enjoy this BT keyboard sold by asabravatechioxnchientopia. Don't forget AAA batteries.
Call me crazy but you think there'd be some kind of reviewing body that reads dmca claims heard by both parties prior to entering a court room rather than people with money fucking the average person.
Some unions are stronger. I'm in a union and I don't even have paid sick time after we just signed our first contract post covid. It makes me feel like it's kind of useless, but it's still better than no union. It's an extremely mediocre feeling.
I remember having to jailbreak my iPhone 3GS to have swipe down toggles we now know as normal today. It was called SB settings from cydia. I'm pretty sure this was also standard on Android. And file manager.
Wasabi ketchup would just be DIY shrimp cocktail sauce with a green tint.
I work in controls and I couldn't imagine how life was working with allen bradley stuff pre internet. there's a manual for everything
4 months ago when I got an unsolicited ad for starfield on my lock screen.
I got 40-90 C down pretty well monitoring my PC temps in that I know more of what it should read in C compared to F.
All fed to you on the not updated data line that caps at 800 MBps
I'm wine inept so it's not viable for me either. I spent a total of 4 to 6 weekends trying to get shit to work. I just can't get it right.
There's only 538 votes total in the electoral college. It was 306/232. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're referring to, then, apologies.
I put buttons on screens for people at work and I'm imagining the fury that would rain down on me if I put 2 buttons in place do a normal thing that was once one button. I would never hear the end of it.
we're sorry
Nothing wrong with some trench brace awareness.
