Graphics are good though.

I can't believe these are the times we live in. The services of the Internet Archive are invaluable for scholars and students alike. No library can afford all the printed books/journals or licenses needed for an adequate approach to most topics. And to be honest, shadow libraries are also much needed when publishers lock away vital knowledge (which was often gained through support from public grants).

This seems just another example of how capitalism will bring about the downfall of our civilization as it hinders the progress of science.

Woha. WOHA!

Look, someone who's good at their job!

Maybe because YouTube isn't a good option if you're looking for good audio quality (same for Bandcamp's free streams). OP didn't specify though.

Communism as an idea has no inherent connection to those atrocities.

"The criticism of religion ends with the doctrine that man is the supreme being for man. It ends, therefore, with the categorical imperative to overthrow all those conditions in which man is an abased, enslaved, abandoned, contemptible being." - Karl Marx, Contribution to the Critique of Hegel's Philosophy of Right

Fascism and Nazism on the other hand are ideologies of inequality and annihilation.

That is not to say that you can't call yourself a communist and still be an enemy of humankind (so whatever kind of asshole) - but you don't have to be. But once you are a fasicst, there can be no doubt that you are.

I'm not on Usenet, but what you need to consider is that you will pay a really small sum compared to what you can find (and then download at a high speed). Your comparison to streaming services is therefore inaccurate (because there you're going to find only a very limited amount of content at a higher price).

Ease of access I imagine... go to one place, find what you were searching for, have great downspeed - all in very little time/with very little effort.

Again: That's just hearsay - I'm a lowly plebs who torrents.

Radical!

How is this not a Rickroll?

Mind blown!

Yup, I've been thinking along those lines as well. I can't believe that every manufacturer is doing their own standards again...

I use Book Reader (it's on F-Droid) for my phone, which works well enough... don't know how it performs on a tablet or if it has the features you're looking for.

I would wholeheartedly recommend a dedicated e-reader with E-Ink display for more 'serious' reading (I have a Tolino for the evenings/bed. Depending on where you are located you could also look into PocketBooks or Kobos... just make sure they're not chaining you to a closed ecosystem like Kindles).
