I stated playing battlebit and I don’t even consider bothering with mainstream titles anymore. This release is garbage, the last 5 releases have just been progressively worse and worse, like hey even bother?
It feels like I have more fun in 1 game of battlebit than I did over the entirety of my 200+ hours of BO2, which was the last mainstream shooter I played that didn’t feel entirely like a waste of money.

I’ve literally never played a subscription based game and I don’t intend on changing that. At this rate all I really stand to miss out on is more carbon copy battle royales, so no love lost.
And people can’t afford houses, college, healthcare, etc. because...? Like cool chart, but my generation will literally never be as financially stable as those who came before. I guess it’s fun to pretend we’re better off than we are though.

None of your charts say anything for first time home buyers. Total home ownership percentage is meaningless when you’re also trying to assert what you are about younger generations. My wage isn’t made any more livable because my grandparents bought a house in the 60s.
When you focus so hard on limited statistics your conclusions are similarly limited. Consider this: in 2022 the percentage of college educated people in the US actually went down from previous years. That’s never happened before because college has never been as unattainable as it is now. Unemployment rates are the lowest they’ve been in decades, but places like restaurants are being forced to close because they can’t fill low paying positions. Either young people are bound and determined to die penniless and uneducated, or there’s some problems you’re conveniently ignoring.
I choose to believe they’re seriously criticizing you for 23 year old spoilers, it’s so much more fun.

WAY more substantial, let’s be real here. I stopped playing for a couple years and when I came back it was practically a whole new game.
And then that same thing happened no fewer than two more times.
Every “final” update has felt fair, they’ve already added so much, and then there’s still more.
Stardew is such a good example given the community is similarly mod-centric
3 days late but, seconded on battlebit! expecially for that arcade feel. it’s all the best parts of battlefield in a package that can run on basically any modern hardware.
Did you play like, AT launch? Battlebit has by far the best gun balance of any FPS I’ve played in recent memory. Every single gun I’ve used is viable, it just depends on playstyle. After the SMG nerf it’s a wildly even playing field.
What’s your problem with the gunplay? It’s the same as every other FPS game out right now. Staged reloads, handling that makes sense, bullet drop + travel time... literally what is there to complain about here?

who the fuck even wants cross play this badly? minecraft bedrock exists seemingly solely for cross play , and anytime i play minecraft with someone they specifically want to play java. i’m convinced the largest market share of cross play users is young folks with no real control over what play they play on.
I’ve seen early access games that go their entire dev cycle without adding real-cash shops. this pervasive idea that microtransactions are just an acceptable thing in any new game has me absolutely incredulated.
it doesn’t matter how long it takes to develop, putting a cash shop in an unfinished game is a bad move optics wise.

There’s a song with the lyric “If you need us we’ll be backyard in our new tree fort” and it fucks with me that it sounds as okay as it does. Reckon it makes a little more sense when the place-word includes a relative direction, like in “upstairs” or “courtside”.
I have heard some gems in the wild though, like “Ima go run bathroom”.
Why are you using youtube videos and not actual game reviews as a metric for how good the game is? The videos stay up forever, reviews are MUCH more likely to change to reflect changes to the game.
