Lack of mental stimulation ( I would also add sence of acomplishment to go with that mental stimulation.) People like to solve problem and feel good about solving those problems. When you have nothing to engage your brain it turns to other things even when those things arnt real. If you do do things with your brain but you never get any reward for it you tend to look for more extream things.

Pilots. It's been some time since I read about it. I read some of the small puddle jumper pilots make so little they qualify for SNAP. Sure flying the big boys makes a bunch of money though.

You may have to buy a seat for them from the airline.

Way I quite. First I swapped to vaping. It was an easy switch. It tasted better smelled better and gave me the same rush. Though it did take 2 times for me to guilt switch. After that lowered the nicotine level slowly. Got down to 0. I never said I couldn't have one. I just played the game of how long I could go without. Started off delaying a few minutes. Then progressed to 15 minutes the half hour. Then I'd skip a break at work. At some point I crave one then tell myself later and if go hours without one. Changed to days. I don't remember my last one. Also jolly rancher hard Candy or the like helped with cravings or delaying the need to go have a smoke. Could skip the vaping but I found it so much better that smoking.

I quite smoking. Much like another post. Swapped to vaping then lowered nic levels to zero. Then I also played a game with myself. How long can I go without vaping. Never told myself I couldn't. Id just want it more. But just told myself. Can I wait 10 minutes. Pushing it a little longer each time till I was going hours then days. I don't remember the last time I did it. It just merged into not needing it. I still get cravings at times but I think I just kinda tell myself can I wait an hour and then I forget about it or the cravings is gone.

That and wireguard for vpn into my homenetwork is great.

I am using https://duplicati.com/ and https://www.backblaze.com/ ( use their b2 cloud storage its variable and 6$ a month for 1TB or less depending on how much you use) run a schedule beckup every night for my photos. It's compressed and encrypted. I save a config file to my google so say if my house and server burn down. I just pull my config from google then redownload duplicati and boom pull my back up down. The whole set up backs up incremental so once you do the first back up its only changes that are uploaded. I love the whole set up.

Edit: You can also just pull files you need not the whole backup.
