What's a show that should've gotten cancelled or ended SOONER than it did?

Too many "what got cancelled too soon" questions, what's a show that went on too long?

Hard mode: no The Walking Dead

American Gods. I mean, still better would have been to just do it as good as the first season

I had such high hopes for this one. If it was up to me the whole events of the book would have been concluded in two seasons. If they wanted to continue to milk it after that they could have made the Beowulf short story or made Anansi Boys as a follow up series. Such a waste to see America Gods squandered.

I think the first season was even better than the book. It was unlike anything I have seen before on TV. I'm fine it exists in the first place :D Never read Anansi Boys and Beowulf. Is it worth it?

I loved Anansi Boys definitely recommend reading it. Anansi Boys is very different from American Gods but does exist in the same world. I've read everything by Neil Gaiman because I just love how that man writes. I think the Beowolf short story is either in a collection of his short stories, but I also think it's added to new additions of American Gods or at least I think the special edition of America Gods has it, but I might be misremembering.

Have you given The Sandman on Netflix a try? I really enjoyed the job they did on it, and having read the comics I kind of wouldn't have minded if the added more of the short side stories because I feel they inform the larger main story.

Sounds interesting, maybe I will check it out sometimes. Ananasi was one of my favourite characters.

I loved the Sandman Series on Netflix, design and acting were great. I personally think the comic gets better with every book so I'm strongly awaiting the next ones :) I hope they can keep the quality.

Altough I think they did a good job on the cat story.

Bryan Fuller thought he could run Star Trek: Discovery and American Gods simultaneously and ended up losing both.

Yeah, I fully agree. The first season was something very special - I had never heard of the book, but it drew me in like nothing else. And suddenly in season 2 all this magic was gone :(
