The fact that not accepting health insurance helps keep prices low says volumes about the US healthcare system.

Why don't they accept my $240 a month subscription plan that "graciously" allows me to co-pay $30 for every visit and then gives me 80% off meds that shouldn't cost that much in the first place?

I can tell you’re young and single by the price of your subscription.

Depends on your job, which is really f-en stupid.

My highly paid engineer job gives me a lower fees for one person, but 5 times as much if it was my whole family. $250ish for me, of $1500 with wife + 2 kids.

My wife and kids are on my wife's plan, as she is in the medical industry and way cheaper. We pay $600 for her + kids.

So total is roughly $850 for a family a month. Which is a lot, but also pretty low for a family nationally. And makes no god damn sense because we are both in high paying industries which gives us better perks, where a hourly wage single-earner is paying significantly more. My friend works two jobs and pays over $400. And I make nearly triple his income.

Health insurance is so frustrating.

Egh that's just more profit than anything. They are making sure they have the buying power rather than sending 85% of those sales to insurance.
