My take from the article is that if the companies are worried about making cars that cost more with higher union wages then maybe they should pay the C-level folks and shareholders less. The workers should be the most important part of the company.

It is absolutely disgusting that worker welfare comes in at a lower priority than the shareholders.

It truly is terrible, and yet, it’s capitalism functioning as it is intended to

Why should it be? Does the system incentivize towards that? I don't think so. So they're not more often than not. #WorksAsExpected
