Jokes aside: I watched a video about this today where the main new feature (instance variants) just didn't work. And that is apparently not the first time this happened. Quite embarrassing since this has (according) to the video financial backing of huge companies (Amazon etc).
Never heard of this before. How's it compare to Godot?
It's a fork/continuation of Lumberyard, itself a fork/continuation of CryEngine. That's all I know
