But also not really relevant to the initial point. Not being able to watch porn from reddit via 3rd party apps is quite different statement than there being no 3rd party apps.

Those weren't the only hooks to get axed, but certainly the most noticeable. Look, I never fully disagreed with you, I just said it's not fully functional, which is true and also relevant to the comment topic.

I'm personally not using any reddit related apps anymore and only vaguely followed the whole API debacle. It's becoming shitty which is the reason I quit it.

But saying 3rd party apps or frontends don't exist for reddit is ridiculous. They do, it doesn't matter if they suck now or cost money. I was just pointing out an error, not trying to argue for or against lemmy/reddit. But apperently some people really took offence with that.

So which ones exist and work?

And that was just going through top google results. Not all of them might still work, some of them now only work properly if you self-host with your own API key. I also found some apps on my phone that had recent reviews that said they still worked.

As I said, I'm not using reddit anymore I don't really want to get into it that much. But it's obvious they are still around (and of course ... some people still love reddit and know how to code ...).

If you genuinly want to find the best still working 3rd party reddit client, I'm not in a position to tell you which one it is. My entire point is that there is some "3rd party client" you can choose. Even if it's shitty compared to lemmy.

Those ones were mentioned as not working due to API changes. Which ones actually work now? It's not so obvious they are still around when all the third-party applications closed due to the crazy fees.
