What are your must-have programs?

Trying to discover new/unheard Linux desktop programs (Sorry for the confusion).
Edit: I apologise for confusing a lot of people. I meant Linux desktop “programs” coming from Windows/Mac. I'm used to calling them “apps”.

It does collect your data though, and it's not open source. Omnivore is a good FOSS alternative
We liked Readeck way better than Omnivore. Their browser extension is also very good.
I've never heard of it! I'll check it out.
