Maximum sentence per conviction is 5k or 4 years in prison... he'll get a $170k fine then head down to the Winchester
wtf is that real? how on earth is 5k comparable to 4 years in prison?
Not McD’s?
Trump's crimes will never be investigated
Trump's crimes will never be referred to a grand jury
Trump will never be indicted by a grand jury
Trump will never go to trial
The judge will throw the case out
The jury will not return a verdict / hung jury
Trump will not be convicted on all counts
Trump will not be sentenced <--- You are here
Trump will not be punished (jail / house arrest)
Trump will appeal and overturn the verdict
Trump is too old and frail to serve his sentence
The problem is that in the meantime, he got elected to the presidency, served his term, irrevocably damaged the US' international relations, incited an unsurrection, committed a bazillion other crimes, and looks poised to get to the presidency again. All the while we got through a Democratic term where they could build a fraction back up of what Trump destroyed while also fighting with their own failed politics (Biden is complicit in why student loans are a big problem now, and well there is the genocide thing).
I can understand the wheels of justice are slow and steady, but the fires of chaos are hot on its heels. I hope I'm wrong, but the US seems like it will elect a convicted felon to its highest office to both guide and represent it in this fucked up world we have right now.
