I would be an ideal customer for the Samsung fold but I never pulled the trigger because

  • the dimensions make the closed device too tall. Make it the same as the Ultra non foldable.

  • screen fold mechanism/hinge not as good as their competition

  • must have the S pen (I know views on this are divided)

I remain a happy Note Ultra customer instead. Hey, they still get my money so it's not all bad for Samsung.

I thought the new Fold has the S pen?

I also remain on my note 20 ultra, though I may trade it in when I lose updates later this year. I'm currently leaning towards S22 ultra. Considering foldables but hear so much bad user feedback on reliability, and I also love telephoto pics so I think the S22 is the clear superior choice

Just upgraded through Samsung Direct to the s24 Ultra from note 20 ultra. They have really good deals right now. Its probably the last opportunity to get $550 trade in on the n20u.

Good tip! I just pulled the trigger as it is indeed a very good deal, seemed better than anything they'd have for holiday sales! Was able to stack employee rewards and some other offers to get the 1 tb model for 887 plus tax!

Nice, it's a good upgrade. I've been enjoying it so far. Still miss the microSD, but it's got so much internal that I don't think I'll care much. Did you use the $100 off accessories? The Galaxy Buds 2 pro were discounted by $130.

I actually already own those! From a previous Samsung sale when they let me trade in some random wired cheap headphones for a huge discount haha
