they can do statistics but they absolutely can't implement a working search function.

Won't. Like Google, it's gotten noticeably worse in recent years. If it doesn't fit in one of the broad categories, PornHub doesn't know what to do with it anymore.
But, if you can find exactly what you're looking for, you'll finish up and stop watching adverts.
Iirc in the Netflix documentary: that was a marketing gimmick to appear playful and improve their image since ph is the public face of mind geek.
