IDF Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari on Wednesday cast Israel’s war aim of eradicating the Hamas terror group as unattainable, appearing to underscore tensions between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and top defense officials over his handling of the war in Gaza.

“This business of destroying Hamas, making Hamas disappear — it’s simply throwing sand in the eyes of the public,” Hagari told Channel 13 news in an interview.

“Hamas is an idea, Hamas is a party. It’s rooted in the hearts of the people — anyone who thinks we can eliminate Hamas is wrong,” he continued.

Israel won't stop until every non-Israeli person in Gaza is eliminated. The Nazis called this "ethnische Säuberung" (ethnic cleansing).

It's like abused children grow up to abuse their children the same way. The evil cycle of viciousness and violence.

These days I am ashamed of Germany again. Our guilt towards the Jewish people blinds us so much, that we even support them doing the same to others as we did to them.

Germany isn't supporting Jewish people. Germany is still vehemently spreading antisemitism.

Germany is supporting Zionists.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my comment. Of course I don't mean "The Jewish people" as a complete entity. I mean, Germany is unconditionally and it seems without critical thinking supporting Israel because their guilt towards Jewish people clouds their judgment.

Because of what we did, we can not show any critic or judgment towards Israel, because that's "anti-semitic". Which is a stance, that in my opinion actually harms any effort against anti-semitism.

No Germany doesn't care about Jewish people. Their politicians are just in israel's pocket.

There is no "collective guilt". The AfD is rising up and Germany is more worried about sending bombs to kill brown people.
