Because Dems can’t accept that Republicans are a lost cause

The problem might be that Dems are a right-wing party and they want to work with the other right-wing party.

But they don't understand - and this makes no sense, because the evidence is obvious - that they have been demonised from since before I was born as being what they are not, namely socialist and communist.

Dems are conservstive, as in what the term originally meant, not right wing.

You're wrong in two ways:

  1. The Democrats are, in fact, a right-wing party.
  2. Conservatism has always been right-wing. That other meaning you think was "original" was never anything more than a lie they told to dupe people into supporting them against their own interests.

I define the Dems as right wing, sorry.

I'm pretty sure the Dems fit this definition, overall: "The neo-liberal right sought to combine a market economy and economic deregulation with the traditional right-wing beliefs in patriotism, elitism and law and order".

In 1992, Bill Clinton ran for president promising to “end welfare as we know it.” This rightward turn was part of a broader attempt by the Democrats to craft a “progressive neoliberalism” — whose “progressivism” included abandoning its working-class base.

You are wrong, not sorry.

Okay. Thanks for not trying to change my mind.

"Right-wing politics is the range of political ideologies that view certain social orders and hierarchies as inevitable, natural, normal, or desirable..."

You say "Dems are conservstive". What are they conserving? Would it be certain social orders and hierarchies?

Either you are trollling or have such a skewed version of reality that even trying didn't cross my mind. I assume it is the latter.

such a skewed version of reality

Thanks! That might well be, unintentionally, a compliment.

Well I take that back, you are clearly a troll.

Thanks!

You said “Dems are conservstive [sic]”. What are they conserving? Would it be certain social orders and hierarchies?

Because “Right-wing politics is the range of political ideologies that view certain social orders and hierarchies as inevitable, natural, normal, or desirable…”

Feel free to explain how Dems can be conservative without being right-wing. Perhaps you could point to a textbook on political theory I haven't read.

No

I have to say, as a teacher myself, you might not be the best cut out for the job.

I'll go to my politics class and see if they can better explain how Dems, being conservative, are or are not right-wing. Would you like to read the best two or three essays?

I don't want your fictional essays from your fictional background.
