A misanthrope is someone who mistrusts or hates humankind.

A racist is... well we all know what a racist is.

Misanthropes usually keep to themselves, whereas racists can gather up other racists to do racist things

This was gonna be my answer too. Maybe I'd change my mind if a misanthrope tried to get their hands on the launch codes though.
