Kapowarr (Comarr) So Far, Love it

Super simple and easy to setup. It does only use GetComics and ComicVine but it’s reliable. It also supports mega login well. The UI feels a little off compared to other starr apps but still familiar.

I chose to try Kapowarr because Mylar failed to get Venom comics from GetComics repeatedly. I suggest giving it a try though, and development is active, altho it’s not “stable” it’s worked perfectly well thus far.

Only issue is when I put it thru nginx styling is lost? idk probably a me issue really

It's an *arr app without usenet/torrent support? Seems like an odd choice.

But at least it looks like they haven't ruled it out in their github as a feature request.

Yeaa not ruled out as it is in super early stages, I would like to have torznab support to make more use of my Trackers honestly.

We’ll see :)

Usenet doesn't have much from what I can see relating to books and comics. I'm part of I think 8 or 9 indexers and I've had to find alt sources.

Perhaps, I've never really kept track of that content on usenet. But without usenet/torrent support that does make this *arr app kind of incompatible with the rest of the *arr ecosystem, just seems like an odd design choice.

I don't look for that type of content too much but usually I'd just download packs from public torrent indexers e.g. Nemesis43 / Nem43 still uploads to 1337x and Demonoid. Those torrents often get mirrored to TorrentGalaxy too.

I tried it a month or so back when it was first released. Seemed really basic, which I guess is fine for an initial release.

My issue with it at the time was there wasn't any way to import any existing comics I already had.

I'll need to spin it up again and see what has changed since I last looked at it.

You can import existing, but it’s a pain todo so. Not much has changed in general I presume.
