Does this "top official in the Southern Baptist Convention," current editor-in-chief of Christianity Today magazine, and author of a book on "finding a path forward for the religion he loves" know a single fucking thing about the history of religion in general or Christianity in particular? Because religion/Christianity has been "tribalized and factionalized" literally forever, long before America even existed.
