Kbin loads faster than other links aggregator like Lemmy. Is there a technical reason for that?

The difference in speed is the most noticeable when navigating from a thread to the previous lists of threads.
As a user this feels great and I’m wondering if there are technical features implemented specifically for this.

I can't tell the benefits of one code type for another as it's far from my forte, but kbin is coded from scratch using a different language than lemmy is, so that could have some sway over it in addition to just differences in infrastructure owned/accessible by the people who run the various instances.
