id tech? That's one of the most polished and performant engine out there.
My ideal would be a third person action-adventure game with over the shoulder shooting, whip physics to show off cool tech and movie setpieces to bring it all together for the fans.
The last developer I'd choose for that would be Nintendo, but the second to last developer I'd ever choose would easily be Bethesda.
Indiana Jones and the Crash to Desktop
Indiana Jones and the Extender of Scripts
Indiana Jones and the Softlocked Quest
Indiana Jones and the Corrupted Save File
Indiana Jones and the Codex of INI
Indiana Jones and the Bad Quality Control wait a minute let me do that one again Indiana Jones and the Bad Quality Control
But MachineGames made some of the best FPS of the last decade... so I will at least take a look.
Not that interested in Indiana Jones as a franchise, but I'm curious to see what MachineGames can do with it. I could see some interesting traversal and combat gameplay with the whip, but I guess we'll learn more next year.
That game engine belongs in a museum!

Don't care about Indiana Jones.
