where does kodi store videos on fire stick? also, do you know how to implement CC?

I own a fire stick and I'm considering selling it and buying an hdmi cable in order to connect my PC to the TV.

But before doing that I'm curious, if I were to install KODI on the FireStick TV, where does the app/device actually store my pirate videos such as TV series, anime etc.?

Also, if you do know how to use closed captions I'd really appreciate it because a big reason of me using netflix on fire stick and paying for the service were subtitles to improve my English.

I just realized chrome can do that on any video, that's why I'm really considering to just connect my personal computer to my television and stream pirated content from any platform.

You have to serve the media. It's not going on the firestick directly but you'll either need a server backhand like jellyfin, or just set up an smb fileshare on your computer with all the media and point kodi at it.

Thank you for the help! I kind of guessed it, but I didn't know free solutions such as jellyfin existed, that's amazing. Is there any way to implement closed captions, and can I download from 9anime or similar?

Edit: also my fire stick is from June 2022, lite model. Can I install kodi on it?

Quite a rabbit hole but you can look at bazarr which can be integrated with radarr (movies), sonarr (tv).

But Kodi also has a facility to download subs on the fly, as long as you set the sources.

amazing, thanks. I'm still a bit sceptic though, I need to download all the anime or tv series (btw, do you know from where? I use 9anime but I don't see a downlod button) and host them on a server, when I can just insert the hdmi cable into a TV and sell the fire stick. I'd like that, it has a remote as well, but it's a lot of work and I've such a little amount of time available lately :(
