US consumer prices rise moderately; underlying inflation strong

"smaller than expected rise in Consumer Price Index" ... I think this is good news overall. Fed just might stick a soft landing. If rates hold steady, I think it's a good time to look into locking 1-3 year personal CDs with close to 5% interest if you can find them.
