Russian pirate dubbing studio RuDub replaced the lines of one of the characters of the American series "The Morning Show" @TheMorningShow, which shows the Russians shelling Mariupol. Ukrainian producer Alexander Rodnianskyi noticed this.
In the show, while having a conversation with his colleague, the hero says that the Russian military is bombing Mariupol and shooting at civilians in the streets: "Mia, the Russians. It's not just a bombing. They're shooting civilians in the street." In the Russian voiceover, the character says that the city is being shelled by "militants" and civilians in the street are being "shot" by the Azov regiment.
👉 The Morning Show series is produced by Apple TV+ video service. The creators filmed three seasons, the last of them, where part of the events takes place in Ukraine, began airing in September.
After the war began, Apple TV+ did not leave Russia, but access to the third season of "Morning Show" for Russian users was blocked. Also in August, subscribers reported that new TV series were being aired without Russian voiceovers.
