At this stage of December, my thoughts often turn to El Vez's (the Mexican, punk rock Elvis) Christmas songs. This led me to uncover this gem from the El Vez archives. A backstage jam with The Sugarcubes, featuring backing vocals from Björk!

Thanks for this. El Vez is from my home town, San Diego, California, (but a suburb called Chula Vista, really) and I haven't heard his name in ages.

El Vez, Rocket from the Crypt and Mojo Nixon. They're the San Diego legacy from those days. Good times.
You're most welcome. Back in the late 90's I stumbled across some mp3s of El Vez and as alluded to, I always play his version of Feliz Navidad at least once in December!
