Meta is planning to let people in the EU directly download apps through Facebook ads. They plan to take advantage of new regulation in the EU called the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which will force Apple and Google to open up their mobile platforms to alternative methods of downloading apps.
I feel like this is going to be the new ask toolbar on my parents devices
Well I guess it won't be long until you can't install apps though ads without heavy warning that something wilbe installed. Especially if Android is trying to make it as difficult as possible to install not playstore apps.
