This Video is badly researched and the worst you could accuse Kurzgesagt is that they have sloppy research on sponsored Videos. Which in my opinion is also not correct.

And vending machines. I mean objects that don't move

It's the rule if the sub

So you live in europe... Interesting

Lets assume you use the "Power of the consumer" to only buy products that are environment friendly.

Then you will soon notice that your power does not exist. If you don't have alternatives then thr only option is not to buy. This might work for luxury but when you buy food and there is only heavily plastic wrapped food then you will buy that one.

Also it will be hard to convince all other humans to consume more expensive alternatives.

Especially if the environment friendly alternative is basically cheaper to produce.

Of course you will need governmental regulations on this shit! The system won't fix itself.

Yes but NO!

If you have a generator you should have several security installions in place and at that point hard wired everything.

You need at least a switch that disconnects the system power and then enables the generator amd vise versa

Just take the fundings that go into roads and take half of them into rails.

Then advocate to use military budget to build rails since they need it to move tanks and stuff.

There are already open source Alternatives. But not federated.

While I do have no morals when it comes to copying smb elses hard work(I am a programmer, basically my job) I Support games when they are good. Movies are rarely any good but the cinema isn't as expensive for me anymore than when I was a student.

And most important you can't refund bad movies in the cinema.

I still think it should be illegal to sell someone elses work though. This also means profiting from it when you use it in your product/development environment.

TL;DR:

Piracy can be a means of demonstration to show the flaws in copyright. Which obviously needs to be public.

I wanted to buy it because I knew it was on my wishlist. However steam rudly told me I already bought it.

Which means it is one of my many games I didn't even boot up once since bought.

Ah yes of course

What is Dream doing there

I thought Linux is Linux. Open source and stuff. But then RedHat(IBM) proofed me wrong. Now you can't use really anything under RedHat or canocial anymore if you don't want to be afraid of more corporate greed. I am now on debian.

Turns out testing instead of stable is similar to fedora rolling Release

Yes the settings within jebora are ignored for some reason on my isntance.

Well this story is probably over 2000 years old

You mean like the supporters in "Is it wrong to pickup a girl form a dungeon".

Hey don't call me out like that.

I killed my gui 3 times in the last 3 days and reinstalled 2 operating Systems.

We are insignificant on a cosmic scale. But we aren't on a Global scale!

All of you matter. (And are matter)

Ah yes.

Yeah I think they select the cheapest license and play those on repeat instead of shuffleing everything

After reading some comments it seems that crash on 0.0.34 is caused by the fact lemmy.ml (which is called on start) is already on version 0.18 and lemmy.fmhy.ml isn't. Which is why I can't login. But if I hadn't the data saved from the google play store Installation I couldn't even use this one.

I had a cubot power which had an "non-removeable" battery. The running time was about two days with medium usage. I thought probably they packed every remaining space with battery which explains a non removeable one.

So I broke it a few weeks ago and decided to check out the battery. Turns out it was just that they glued the shit out of the backplate (which was more work to get of than the screen which glue already gave up) and put a normal sized battery in wich had no quick connector attached, but one of those flimsy wires that fall apart if you look at them wrong. The same shit apple introduced in their ipods.

There is and never was any reason for "non removeable batteries" other than prohibiting the user from repairing the most common failure point of a phone!

Apparently he was the only one in the river scene who knew what was about to happen. So all the screams of the other people were real.

Well I guess it won't be long until you can't install apps though ads without heavy warning that something wilbe installed. Especially if Android is trying to make it as difficult as possible to install not playstore apps.

You might be right, but I understand it so that beehive is still providing the true to everyone, just lemmy.world users can't interact with the true version they will get an out of sync version with only their comments. But lurking should be still possible. Basically similar to a silent ban. You can still post but (almost) nobody can see it. (almost means only lemmy.world users)

Since it is out of sync .world users and sh.itjust.works users can also not interact on beehive posts since they both have their own out of sync copy.

In that case I have all versions wrong and it is one less each?

Cry 4 times

I almost fell from my chair laughing

Depends on what context. Matter wise not.

Technology on the other hand we can only tell that several Millionens years ago nobody else had sth. Measurable like we do now
