05 Jul: Finally. Ukrainians BREACH THE STRONGEST POSITION South of Bakhmut |War in Ukraine Explained

TL;DR: The video focuses on the strategic advancements of Ukrainian forces in the East. Ukrainians conducted another raid on Russian logistics and batteries, resulting in the collapse of the most formidable Russian strong point in the east. The targets included a huge oil depot and an assemblage of equipment being transported to the front line positions. The destruction of these targets created massive short-term problems for the Russians, decreasing their ability to conduct defensive operations.

Key Points:

  • Ukrainians conducted another raid on Russian logistics and batteries, targeting a huge oil depot in Makiivka and an assemblage of equipment being transported to the front line positions.

  • The destruction of these targets created massive short-term problems for the Russians, decreasing their ability to conduct defensive operations.

  • Russian forces had problems deploying reserves to Klishivka on time, possibly due to the Ukrainian precision strikes on Russian logistics.
  • Ukrainian forces entered Klishivka, indicating that they have cleared the most powerful fortification on the entire front, an extensive trench network on a hill.

  • Ukrainians opened four axes of advance to the north and south of the village, leveraging the tree lines that they had cleared east of the canal.
  • Ukrainians established control over the trenches and the local heights, making further advancement easier due to the next Russian defensive positions being located in the lowlands.

Why Bakhmut?

I'm guessing the aim would be to encircle and try and take it back without a fight. Imagine the moral hit that would cause to Russia

Russians really want it, and this causes them to keep poring units into it, for little gain and the advantage of the Ukranians. All the ammo Russia uses here cannot be used elsewhere.

I enjoy watching this guys videos, but these write ups are good too.

Chat gpt is getting out of hand haha
