Don't be fooled by randomness. Randomness comes in clumps. Bottom line having multiple entry points in a queue with multiple slow down points due to the multiple entry points is the cause of the reduced performance with the way most Americans do it.

To add to your comment, ceramic window tint is a night and day difference. My steering wheel, shifter, and all couldn't be touched after work. I wore driving gloves to get home. With the tint there slightly warm and the AC doesn't take half the drive to catch up, the car is cool by the first stop light.

Maybe they should sell cars with that by default instead?

Bob Ross, I've always been an introverted person and didn't make friends quickly as a kid. Bob helped me become comfortable with that and just put my energy into things I do like instead of trying to be something I'm not.

To add to this my wife got the Samsung Flip or whatever, the one that folds like an old flip phone.

Every year she's had to have it replaced because the screen cracks in the middle. Fortunately we have the insurance so it's only $5 to replace it. She just got her third phone this week.

Not that this is adding anything but I've been hit three times by big trucks that "didn't see me".

The first time my wife and I were driving home from a date and he came from behind and just came into my lane and destroyed the left side of my car. He was a good guy and agreed it was his fault and the insurance worked out great.

The second time my wife and I were on our way to a concert and the same thing he came him behind except he also pushed me into a parked car destroying both sides of my car and almost ripped off my front left tire. This fucker lied to his insurance and because we had no witnesses I ended up paying for the rental and deductible. I also installed dash cams after.

The third time I was driving home from seeing one of my kids (they're all adults) and stopped on the interstate in stop and go traffic. This guy rear ended me. When e pulled over he swore I stopped suddenly for no reason and was driving like an idiot. We called the cops and I showed him the video where I stopped due to traffic and the guy was at least 200 yards away when I did this PLAYING ON HIS DAMN PHONE! Needless to say the cop was on my side.

Note: My small cars are sports cars, so not exactly environmentally as kind as a smart car, but I still am concerned with these giant vehicles that are just begging to hurt people. I think they should follow the same regulations as buses. Put giant ass mirrors on the front on them like school buses and all, require a higher level license just to be able to drive them and so on.

There are small pockets where it doesn't suck. My current company has amazing benefits where my youngest had to have major surgery and it literally cost $100. My previous company however my wife had to have minor surgery and 6 years later we still owe them $23k. We're paying it off slowly.....

I don't think I like it. No judgement for others but I don't like cars with fake vents and I'm sure I won't like cars with fake transmissions.

I think there is value in a transmission in EVs. While they don't really need under gears they do need overdrive to get better highway mileage. And I imagine if we put weaker engines we could use under gears to get the performance with less of a power drain.

Some cars first gear is over 3:1 while others it's closer to 2:1.

The answer that is common but I don't see here is it's a soft layoff result. It allows the company to reduce their employee spend because a percentage of them will resign without the publicity of doing a layoff.

Without internal intelligence I feel like that's what zoom is doing for example.
