I agree with migrating the !casualconversation community to lemm.ee

Mod jumping in. Sorry to have missed the reports, most of us were asleep when they happened.

Thank you for everyone who reported harassing comments. We are going to have a look now, and probably ban a few people.

See you around.

Hello everyone,

Mod jumping in. As per the sidebar "Rule 3: Avoid controversial topics such as politics or societal debates". Locking this thread for now, thank you to the people who reported it.

Have a good one.

I would like to keep the !casualconversation community on lemmy.world

Mod stepping in, lot of aggressivity and borderline harassment in this thread.

I'll DM people to give them a warning.

You have been banned for 7 days. This is against the first rule of our community "be respectful"

Sorry, I missed a few of those, I was on vacation for a few days

Basically, create a new one one the new instance, and tell everyone to move there.

Posts will be kept on the old community, but due to the nature of this community, it shouldn't be an issue. People are mostly busy with current topics, I don't really see people coming back often to old posts about what everyone was doing on their week-end a few months ago.

Hello, this user has been banned for 7 days. Sorry about this.

I watched a Christmas movie with a few friends the other day, as we were hangover.

It's pretty funny when you look at it to see how many cliches they can fit

For people worried that this goes against the rule "no promotional content", this is obviously a charity, and also there is a difference between being a Lemmy user with a side project, and being a project leader with a Lemmy promotional account.

OP definitely belongs to the first category.

Maybe we could have "Show what you created" posts in the future.

Edit: locked, see below for details.

If I may, this is not really in the theme of this community.

It's okay to want to discuss the divergence in the Threadiverse platforms, but there are probably better places to do it than here.

Also, looking at your post, it's not really respectful

chasing for the next messiah is idiotic the sublinks guys seem shady as hell forking shit everytime

if it isn’t welcomr here you can point me in the right direction and i’ll move it.

I would suggest to post it to !fediverse@lemmy.world, where most of the discussions on those topics are happening anyway.

Interesting, thank you for pointing this out.

I have been reading this thread from afar, don't have time to have a look at every comment at the moment, but if you see any insult or disrespect feel free to report.

I would like to move the !casualconversation community to another instance (detail in comments)

Thank you for your work!

Thank you for your work.

Hello,

FYI, this community will be locked tomorrow, feel free to recreate this post on the new community !casualconversation@lemm.ee. Of course, you don't have too if you think the topic has been discussed enough.

Thank you for your message

This user has been banned for 7 days. Sorry about this.

You can either delete it, or I can lock it, as you prefer.

There weren't that many comments, so I guess it can be deleted, on the other hand it might be useful to keep it if people are curious on where to discuss this topic.

As you are the OP, it is your choice.

I am okay with moving the community to Reddthat.com

And I'm pretty sure this comments wouldn't be visible from the 0.19 instance as well: https://discuss.tchncs.de/post/7934610?scrollToComments=true

Edit: it is indeed the case

What did you mean by this?

Edit: FYI, I opened the Lemmy Matrix and see that you were already discussing the the dbzer0 admin

Hello Ruud,

Thank you for your work on LW.

Kind of hijacking this thread, but are you aware that 19 instances seem to be constantly lagging behind? https://phiresky.github.io/lemmy-federation-state/site?domain=lemmy.world

Among them

  • lemmy.dbzer0.com
  • lemmy.sdfeu.org
  • reddthat.com
  • lemmy.nz
  • lemdro.id
  • slrpnk.net

I usually use Reddthat, but used this account to make sure that this would go through.

Slight ping to @Rooki@lemmy.world as they commented on the previous comment
