Regular topic these weeks, let's see how it goes

Got my daughter's birthday party. Finally. Can't wait for it to be over but I think she's going to have a good time and I'm told that's what it's all about.

Looks to be a dreadful weekend with rain all through it.

Good reason to stay indoors and play video games

BBQ with the neighbours tomorrow, visiting the in-laws on Sunday. My wife will stay for a couple days, they have some get together in their hometown on Tuesday, but (un)fortunately I can't attend due to a work commitment (that has genuinely been scheduled for a solid 4 months, so the lady ain't even mad).

Going to watch Dune 2 at the cinema

I started spring cleaning this week, so I'm finishing up this weekend. I have way too many clothes that don't fit anymore and will be donating all of them, then buying new clothes that actually fit me and make me feel good.

Usual weekend grind. Shopping, cleaning, chauffeuring kids to this activity and that. I might do the food shopping today when shit is more chill and save myself the hassle tomorrow. I guess it’s also time to put down the pre-emergent, maybe I’ll spend some time ripping out the hairy bittercress before I do that. Always a lot of shit to do.

Inconviently located chores for most of tomorrow, then a big family thing for my gran's birthday on Sunday. Honestly not sure which day I'm looking forward to the least. Hoping to find room for some crafts and some videomaking at...some point in there somewhere? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Still at work. I'm currently in a hotel room wrapping up paperwork while others are doing their remote test on this system I built. Unless something severly stupid happens I'll be on an airplane on my way home tomorrow.

I'm planning to take one of my kids to the movie theater for his very first time. I feel like he's finally old enough to sit through an entire movie. Though he's a loud talker, so I'll have to emphasize the etiquette of no talking during movies.

Fixing, cleaning, organizing, getting all my warm season outdoor equipment and toys ready to have some fun.

An old friend is coming to town. Gonna get together with more of our buddies. Should be fun. My wife is doing a long bicycle ride preparing for a competition in a few weeks.

Rot in bed or In worst case complete my projects.

3 out of 4 kids are away for the weekend. So I will mostly be chilling with my wife and remaining child. There is also, of course, Super Saturday in this year's Six Nations rugby championship tomorrow. That'll be a good day.

I have this steel folding chair that I like to set up in front of my door. I usually wait there patiently for Monday morning.

I finished my first Dungeon Crawl Classics campaign as DM two weeks ago. I will get to be a player while one of my friends takes over for the next module.

Other than that, nothing - we have 30mph winds and 65mph gusts so I plan to stay home as much as possible.

how was it? we're starting a DCC campaign soon!

The system feels very different compared to D&D 3.5 and Pathfinder. We skipped the first level where you have three characters you’re trying to keep alive, and started with just one character. Our players are level four now.

I kind of like the spell system because it gives a lot more variety than works/doesn’t work.

thats nice to hear its fun past the initial start. we've had a hard time getting an ongoing campaign bc our players really think its funny to send their hoard of level 0s on death missions

Yes! That is exactly why we scrapped that part and started at level two. We tried to play through it and all the players role played their level 0s accordingly and they all chickened out from trying to go up against a god.

We picked up some level two modules and went from there. We’re trading off DMs for each module which makes it fun for everyone. I ran three sessions of Rift of Seeping Night. Now we’re on something I think it’s called Through the Dragonwall.

Off to see the All-England Badminton Championships tonight. Then football and rugby on TV tomorrow.

Very sporty weekend!

Student conferences at my kids' school today, then some carpentry with the rest of my "day off". Then I'll be at my job all weekend in the mornings, probably play Spelunky with my kids in the evenings β€” we can consistently get to the Temple now, even the kindergartener.

My older kid is home for college and having a bunch of his buddies over for his birthday. I might be relegated to pizza driver

Lots of homework. I got a lot of it done Friday night and Saturday morning, including a midterm exam for an online class, then napped for 2 hours, and now I'm going to play video games. Sunday it will be more work -- debate prep for a class on Thursday.
