IIRC they can restore deletions easily but not edits, if you edited the comments and then deleted reddit will only, AFAIK, restore the comments to the edited version, however you can request the right to be forgotten if GDPR applies to you.

Voting for debian as well. Apt upgrade never gave me any hassle when i needed to update anything in a pinch
